It is a 12V 6A battery charger for 12V lead-acid battery. Remember that this charger is not applicable for lithium battery. The charger has a mode button for selecting the appropriate mode of charging. The four modes are car/truck with 12V lead-acid battery, car batter with 12V 10Ah-100Ah, motorcycles or all kinds of 12V lead-acid batteries of 2Ah-20Ah and repair mode for almost dead batteries.
When charging, red indicator light is turned on to indicate the selected mode. The LED screen will display cyclically the battery voltage, current and the ambient temperature figures. Moreover, there is also a battery level indicator.
My car cannot be started after trip, and this give me the chance of testing this device. First connect the red clip to positive electrode of the battery and the black clip to the negative electrode of the battery. Then select the mode. I chose the car/truck mode for charging my car battery. Afterward plug the charger’s power cord into the power supply and the device will start automatically. I have taken nearly7 hours to have my battery fully charged. After that, I can start my car normally without the use of start jumper.
Although the charging is not quite fast, it works simply with low cost. It’s really a handy and useful tool for standby purpose. It’s also good for maintaining any idle vehicle or batteries in order to keep them in good condition.

This charge is simple and intuitive to use and thankfully didn’t try to reinvent how to use a battery charger. I like that I can adjust the charge rate from 5 amps to 2 amps as I feel 2 amps slow charging is gentler and generally safer. But I have the option to go 5 amps if I’m in more of a hurry. This charger has a pulse repair mode also which is a nice feature. I can tell that it is on but I don’t really know if it’s doing anything. I ran it as a maintenance to my battery and from what I’ve read that is not harmful and is pretty good idea to help clean battery plates. However, I’m not certain it is good for gel batteries.

The Car Mounted 12v 6a Intelligent Battery Charger Detects Battery Voltage, Temperature Compensation, Fully Charged Self Stop, Suitable for Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, Lawn Mowers, Boats (Red) is suitable for home use. This is definitely not a commercial unit. It is far too flimsy for any type of extended use and is designed for the casual user. The power cord is slender and the charging cable and clamps are lightweight. It is very slow to charge a battery. When it is finished charging it shuts off. If you want it to go into float charging you have to select “Motorcycle” which is not noted anywhere on the device itself and is not logical. If the instruction book is ever lost or another person takes over the device they will never have any idea how to go to float. I think there are better devices on the market.

I got this little thing for maintaining my four wheelers battery’s this winter, it surprised me and extended my expectations it charges quick and I also used it to charge up my truck battery. Good quality this thing ended up being for the money very satisfied
