This unit is amazingly versatile being able to automatically shutoff at full charge and even repairs the battery if needed. Has multiple modes and very compact. Just leave it on and forget it.

Well designed charger, good info on the screen. I wish it would have just 6″-8″ longer wires to the battery and better clamps. Mercedes has the battery in the trunk, one cannot use the trickle charger and close the trunk (not latch it) with the charger being outside.

CRITICAL SAFETY NOTICE ! ! (FOR TRADITIONAL 12V BATTERIES)
CHARGER’S 12V TERMINAL CLIPS FOR CONNECTION IS REVERSE PROCEDURE!
When charger’s (model FBC1207E) RED +POSITIVE terminal clip is attached FIRST to a vehicle’s battery, during a standard wiring connection procedure, the charger causes a LARGE spark while connecting it’s BLACK WIRE -NEGATIVE terminal clip LAST onto a battery’s -NEGATIVE terminal post, to complete the circuit.
** WARNING! CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY. Battery fumes can explode from a spark around traditional battery vent caps. **
The LCD screen turns ON immediately once the terminal clips are connected, WITHOUT USING THE AC CORD PLUGGED INTO A 120V OUTLET.
(For date purchased) Model FBC1207E owner’s manual has no connection procedure. Guideline assumes you’ve already connected this charger’s 12V terminal clips to the 12V battery. Then owner’s manual (lists) goes right to charging pulse/MODE functions, etc.
FACT CHECK FIND:
Attaching the charger’s BLACK -NEGATIVE terminal clip FIRST to a vehicle’s BLACK -NEGATIVE battery post, and THEN attaching the charger’s RED +POSITIVE terminal clip LAST to the vehicle’s RED +POSITIVE post (to complete the circuit), the LCD display screen turns ON immediately with no or minimal spark.
WHEN CHARGING:
12V 7A charger, model FBC1207E, can repair a traditional 12V battery from 12.4Volts depending on condition.

This may work for a partially discharge battery, and as use as a maintainer. It was worthless in my situation, as the lights on the item did not come on and there was Zero charging after several hours. I called triple AAA and the battery started up immediately. I immediately returned this item.

The UI design is better than its competitors for me, and this charger has been working well for my SLA battery for few months. Besides, I personally think this battery charger is perfect at the price below 20 dollar. Plus, there are many protection including Overvoltage, Overtemp, Short, Reverse. Really nice to have.
