I have collected low-hour, gently used John Deere and Wheel Horse garden tractors for over 25-years.
One of my skill deficiencies has been solving 12-volt DC electrical problems, sometimes overlooking grounding issues. I have become better in recent years. I have invested in a quality multi-meter which is essential for accurately measuring voltage and continuity or resistance.
After reading in the Wheel Horse collector’s group in recent years about the benefits of adding second grounding wires, I installed second ground cables on three of my tractors.
After more research, I picked up that grounding straps are believed to be better conductors than cables.
The bottom line…
After reading customers’ reviews, I ordered this set.
I bolted two sections together to reach the factory original ground.
The second ground strap location is a work in progress.
I like the quality and feel of these straps. I did not feel a single frayed wire.
I checked the resistance of the straps – all okay.
As customer reviews affect my buying decisions, I want to do my part.
