2017 Cam Am Spyder RT SM6- got a Limp Home warning and code 0340-cam shaft sensor failure. OEM was priced at $86.99. Found this one and got it faster than other parts places. Put it in and the Limp Home and code warnings went away. Ordered a spare because….well, it’s a Chinese part…

SeaDoo GTX 300 Limited had a P0340 code. Pulled the sensor and compared to this one with an ohm meter and readings across terminals did not match so I figured the old one was for sure bad. Replaced the CPS with this one and the ski fired up, code went away, and check engine light extinguished. Saved $300 at least vs. The dealer and it took me 15 minutes. Would have had to wait weeks to even have it looked at. Be sure to buy a set of ETorx sockets before trying to replace yourself. I removed the blow by port to more easily access the CPS sensor. It is hard to get to with that assembly and hose/wires in the way.
