Isolator works as expected, except that I am only getting about 2A to charge my battery from the alternator. This is a problem as it sometimes requires me to connect a trickle charger to the backup battery to keep it fully charged. It works excellently as an isolator and protects my main battery from discharge while using the backup battery.

Returned this product. Outdated in my opinion for what else is offered now a days. Low amperage for most applications it’s advertised towards.

It requires the cutting of existing alternator wiring which I will not do so it has become a paper weight in my home

ONE WIRE TYPE ALTERNATOR COMES FROM THE POSITIVE POST OF THE BATTERY AS SEEN ON YOU TUBE VIDEOS . TO THE CENTER TERMINAL THE OTHER TWO TERMINALS GO TO THE FRONT AND THE OTHER TO THE REAR TERMINAL . CAR IS STARTED AND CURRENT CANT DRAIN BACKWARDS FROM THE REAR BATTERY THRU THE BLOCKING ONE WAY DIODE BUILT IN. SO NOW YOU ARE CHARGING TWO BATTERIES FROM ONE ONE WIRE TYPE ALTENATOR . 3 WAYS TO DO THE CONNECTIONS ARE IN THE INSTRUCTIONS OR JUST CONTACT A QUALIFIED SHOP TO DO THE JOB
