I was please with the price for the set of regulators. All of them look the same, expensive, medium, or inexpensive, so I thought I would take a chance on the inexpensive set. They do work. The went into the truck door, lined up and bolted in with only the normal difficulty it is necessary to go through to install them. The problem didn’t show up until the door panel was back on and the window crank was being installed.
Firstly the handle just plain wouldn’t go on. The diameter of the stub from the regulator is too large for the hole in the crank. The crank might fit if it was hammered on, but I don’t want to do that. I will probably have to try grinding out the inside of the handle until it slides on as it should. I hope. Then when the handle was being fitted, I noticed the stub that goes into the new window regulator moves all over the place. I checked the old one to be sure, and yes, it was rock solid in the mechanism. So the stub moving around in this regulator is definitely a manufacturing defect. It is also hard to crank the window up and down, but I am willing to believe that is just me because I have been using power windows for 10 years at least, and maybe I just forgot how hard manual windows are to crank.
Who knows if the more expensive ones are any better than these, or the same as these and just being sold for a higher price, but it might be worth paying for a more expensive one to see if the stub from the regulator is actually solid in the regulator mechanism, and if it is of the proper diameter so the window crank will fit on it.

I bought these to go from power windows to manual crank windows on my old 83 Chevy truck. Install was super easy. From start to finish, it was about 1 hour to remove the door panel, remove the electric window hardware, then reinstall the new manual hardware. These do not come with hardware, but I only needed 2 more screws to complete the job.
I Highly recommend these.

The rollers which are intended to run inside the sash channel are manufactured .024 oversize and thus do not fit inside the channel. You’ll either have to re rivet the 40 year old originals or figure a way out to machine them down and re rivet them on. Not exactly an enticing option. Especially considering it’s a custom rivet you’ll have to make. I’m a machinist and have the tools to do it but really I shouldn’t have to, and either should you.
Edit: I forgot to mention, the mounting holes were done with a worn out tap and were WAYY undersized. At least mine were, on both sides. You’ll have to run a good tap through them or they won’t work. It’s 1/4-20 thread. Youre welcome. (Also, if you already ordered them, I took the rollers down with a 6×36 belt sander. You don’t need that size but you’ll want to take them down evenly.)

I don’t write reviews, till now. I replaced a 35 year old manual regulator in my ’84 Suburban, it was slipping a little and I was replacing the weatherstripping on the drivers door. We drive this only one week a year to pull a trailer 1200 miles for summer vacation. It’s from Arizona so there’s no rust. Getting it ready for this years trip I lowered the window, it didn’t feel right so I tried to roll it up, the handle just spun. I was able to get it up when it got it back in the garage, but am afraid to lower it again. I was ready to do the passenger door but it think we’ll keep the 35 year old one in there. This thing failed after one year and about 20 cycles. I will contact the seller but I doubt I will replace it with the same, I may go to the Chevy dealer. The one I took out worked better than the new one.
