Super easy install. Old struts let the glass fall on my head and made life miserable. These work very well.
BE WARNED: When you replace weak worthless old struts with these you need to remember you did so. These are strong and will toss hat off like that bully I beat up in second grade. Don’t let the glass clock you. Pretty sure that wouldn’t be too fun. I’m used to them now and VERY PLEASED.

Purchased the lift gate support strut for my Jeep Wrangler TJ. Item arrived quickly. They are the exact size as the OEM and appear to be of good quality. Installation was a breeze and took less than 10 minutes — each end has a metal clip which has to be partially pulled out and then it can be easily removed and the new one installed. Only difference with OEM is that the skinny metal rod is chrome on the OEM support strut and it is painted black on this one. Also, the OEM strut feels heavier. But this pair of strut costs a quarter of the OEM pair and worth it.

They were extremely easy to replace but theyl are a little too strong if you’re not careful while opening the back window it will smack you in the face and make you bleed. They could be a little less powerful and maybe a little slower but once you get the hang of them they’re okay but it’s still hard to close it with one hand and I’m a pretty strong guy overall a good product though

Every May each year I swap out my hard top for a soft top. In October of each year I do the reverse. When I installed my hardtop this year I noticed the rear window was sagging. As the weather got colder it seemed that it was sagging a little further each week so I decided it was time to invest in some new pistons. After doing some research I came across the BOXI pistons that had good ratings so I ordered a pair. The day they arrived I put them on it took less than 10 minutes and they were an immediate success; no more sagging.
