Started with a very cheap wt gauge and was not accurate , returned it , searched for one with good reviews, this one seemed to match that and for a good value and a reputable name, even if it is made in China along with other low cost brands of gauges , and is accurate with in 5 deb of a infra red heat gun test for comparison

had it installed on my 22re for about 2-3 weeks now and it works ok. gotta give it a tap sometimes cause it sticks a bit. feels real cheap and flimsy. had to buy a separate hose adapter that accepted the 1/8 threads and none of the adapters works for a 22re stock port (M10 threads). other than that its off by 5-10 degrees cooler but it works. make sure u use the right gauge wires cause it can screw with the readings.
EDIT October 4
Gauge now reads nothing at all times after the first 2 months. Still has perfect continuity with 0 ohms threw the whole circuit using 14 gauge wire. I’ve never had a more dificult time with this gauge and I’ve given up. Do not buy this gauge its one of those “designed to last the warrenty” items that is designed to fail

The temperature gauge in my 1993 Accord died so I decided to try out this gauge. Installation was straight forward. Being an electrical gauge I ran a simple wire through the door jam from the gauge to under the dash. Gauge worked properly for a few days then the gauge needle started to vibrate. I checked all of the connections which were a bit loose, tightened them up and the gauge was fine.

This gauge is fairly easy to install. I mounted it on my dash with double-sided sticky tape from 3M. Accuracy is good, and the light makes it easy to see at night.

I installed this on an early 90’s cummins that is installed in a 107 year old fishing boat. The installation was nice and easy, and it fit into the existing threaded port using one of the included adapters. The previous indicator was a cap-tube style sensor, and it had long since failed. Because of this, I needed to source a hot and a ground that was common with the engine block (harder than you might imagine on a 107 year old wooden fishing boat) but after that was handled, installation went just fine.
You are only given 1 crimp connection in the kit, and it’s for crimping onto the sensor wire at the engine side. You will need to provide your own ring crimps for the other connections.
I can’t say for sure that it is accurate, since I don’t have a good way to verify, but even if it’s a few degrees off, it’s good enough for my needs. My only regret is that I got the black one… shoulda gone for something with a chrome bezel, but that’s on me, not the manufacturer.

Took about an hour to install and I’m not fast. Much more accurate than the non-linear VDO gauge I replaced. The only complaint I have is that they didn’t have a diagram of the back of the gauge with wiring. (A picture is worth 1000 words.) The written instructions were clear though. The terminal labels could have been better, also. Just shallow indentations.

I had two OEM gauges at the helm of my 1979 Viking that read 210F when the engines were at operating temps, when the old school wet bulb gauges in the engine room read 175F. I installed these gauges and the temp readings are now concurrent across four gauges at the proper 175F-180F. I love that 180F is in the middle of the range on the dial as that is my thermostat target temp. Great product at a reasonable price. Installation was plug-n-play, just be sure to use the temp senders provided, they all go together as one package. Don’t try to save yourself installation time by using your old senders. TBH, that’s probably the problem anyway…

Gauge works well, quick delivery, good price. I installed in my 1978 motor home as a temp. gauge for my transmission. Instructions say not to install in T fitting in the line but a similar gauge from B&M transmission says that’s where to put it. I replaced the last bend into my radiator from the trans., cutting it off and routing the line into the side of the T fitting, the sender into one end and adapter fittings into the radiator on the other end. Solidly mounted and the fluid flows right by covering the sensor.
