much thinner than the factory filter, thus it has less filtering media. width x length are the same so there should not be a leak problem. make sure you keep and reinstall the bottom foam seal that sometimes sticks to the factory filter. other than that it seems good. made in the usa.

It’s not too expensive, and getting it in a couple days from Amazon when the local auto parts stores do NOT carry these consumables for the VW Touareg means I have to shop online or pay dealer overpricing for parts.
The only downside is the miserable location in the Touareg that requires some kick panel dash removal and duct removal. Compared to my 2003 4Runner it’s a literal pain in the back to get the Touareg cabin filter replaced. This is not a bad review of the filter, the filter does it’s job fine.

A fraction of a cost from the dealership, and work even better. The dealership’s filter was noticed to be thicker, BUT, accumulate water vapor during cold and rainy days. After experiencing a few weeks worth of rain, we could smell the musty scent lingering in the cabin as we have the air pulled through from the outside, flowing through the old dealership filters.
This one works perfectly. We drove through rain, and even through dairy farmlands. Most of the odor (90%) were filtered, and no musty scent after a season worth of rain. Purchased extra to save at this price.

Appears to be a good filter. Dimensions are all the same except for the thickness for my 2015 Cayenne. This one is quite a bit thinner then the stock Porsche filter.

Yes, this filter is a little thinner, as other reviewers have mentioned — but, it’s easier to install and remove. Bosch is THE brand for German parts, and it shows. Popped this in my 2012 Touareg in 10 minutes (it’s a T20 bit to remove the footwell shard, BTW), and it immediately smelled waaayayyyy better. I agree with one of the commenters that the OEM [f-ing expensive] filter is puffier and would hold more moisture on a humid, rainy day, and thus promote more mildew growth (stink). This is my annual replacement filter – no doubt. Other reviewers; if you want to pay a ton for VW/Porsche/Audi OEM, go right ahead and burn those Benjamins, baby!

Fit my 2013 Cayenne GTS perfectly…once I figured out how to install it… It is always easier in a Porsche than it seems so take your time. BTW, my old one was caked with garbage. At this price, I will probably replace this yearly after pollen season.

This fit my 2005 Porsche Cayenne S perfectly, the car had sat in a garage for two years before I bought it last month and the cabin air filter had a smell so bad when you tuned the heat on that the old owner sold the me car for $20,000 less than it was worth because he figured the car wasn’t salvageable due to the smell. It was as if a family of raccoons lived in the old air filter, it stunk that bad.
The old owner is a dentist and had no knowledge about cars at all.
All it took was one cabin filter change and now the smell is gone.
One of my girlfriends was with me when I bought the car and upon smelling the air when I bought it she said “I’m going to puke, I’m never riding in here I don’t care how beautiful this car is”
After changing the filter today I asked her to have a seat inside and I turned the heat on, she looked horrified when I turned the fan on but she inhaled, opened the passenger door and got out, I thought oh no, she must still smell something, she then opened the back door, jumped into the back seat and invited me to join her to christen my new car that no longer stinks.
I highly recommend this part, I’ll be changing it every six months just to keep the air fresh, clean and free of allergy causing particles and I suggest you do the same thing.
