Had to cut a spot into place for these filters, as my truck wasn’t equipped with the option for a cabin air filter. Apparently that was an upgraded feature? Anyway, it was easy to do with the help of a youtube tutorial. Just make sure you install them with the arrows facing the correct direction of the airflow. My truck air wasn’t smelly, so I can’t speak to odor elimination, but they’re sturdy, quality filters, for sure. overall good purchase and I will buy these again when it’s time to replace these ones.

I was reading on nissan forums you can easily modify the air blower box (if you dont already have a cabin air filter on early frontiers/xterras) to install filters. These worked perfectly for that on my 1999 Nissan Frontier (look at the before and after pictures)
The filters seal perfectly (I tested for air leaks around the filters with the blower on high and there was none) and with the included clip they stay secure.
Only slight downside is i noticed a bit less airflow coming through the vents with the blower on but that was to be expected.
