I don’t know why I procrastinate changing these filters, they get so dirty so quickly.

Hasn’t caused flow restriction issues others are noting for me. It is hard to get it seated and sealed properly, though. You really have to press it into place and try a few times before it fully seals into the slot fixture.

It’s the best filter what you can buy. HEPA is a really good and the air flow is really more clean. I recommend it and I’ll buy again.

I used this filter for no more than 5000 miles. I live in a place with lots of high temperature desert heat majority of the year and heavy monsoons for the remainder. During the off-monsoon season, the Hepa filters worked great. The air definitely felt clean and fresh, but if you don’t keep your car clean or drive with the windows down often then I feel that there’s almost no point to the HEPA feature of this filter.
The HEPA feature with it’s micron sized weaving unavoidably restricts air flow in order to filter out dirt and contaminants 3 microns in size. But also not that this restrictive air flow may or may not make your AC blower motor work harder.
I mentioned that I lived in an area with heavy monsoons. It’s not the best idea to drive in a monsoon (I never do) and the car is garage kept. I believe that the remaining humidity in the air weighed down the filter material even more. I believe this added weight is the one of the reasons why the filter failed. I find that the construction of the filter is the other reason . On the sides of the filter, I had found that only the middle was glued to the bracket and this left the corners susceptible to failure.
This damage to the filter occurred within only 20 minutes time. At first, I heard what sounded like a weed eater right outside my home accompanied with a chirping sound coming from inside my car dash. I lowered the fan speed and noticed that the air was still blowing. (I had my kids in the car and it was 105° outside so I kept the fan on.) Then weedeater sound stopped and a really loud whirring noise began resounding. I had then turned off the fan and returned home immediately. Upon inspection, I found the filter had shredded and was sucked inwards toward the blower motor beneath the filter. Small pieces of the filter were also in the blower motor fan blades. If I had run the fan any longer then the blower motor most likely would have sucked in the whole filter, possibly resulting in a damaged blower motor. Replacing a blower motor can cost $60 to $120, but is also an easy self repair process.
In short, I won’t be using any HEPA filters for my car. Also, I heard the same strain can be placed on the AC system in your house, if you use HEPA filters. It’s better to use non-Hepa filters and just replace them more often. I’d also even go as far to say that humid areas of the country might not be ideal for this type of filter as well.

I was sick and tired of seeing dust particles floating around in my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek which were making my allergies worse and having to shut off my HVAC system every time I drove past a dusty construction site so decided to give these a try. Before this I was using an OEM filter and it would take forever for the AC to get cool and the heater to actually warm up. I noticed the changed immediately after installing this cabin air filter. My air filter was incredibly dirty and full of leaves. My heater took less than five minutes to start feeling warm in the mornings. Install was very easy to there are arrows to tell you which direction to install this. Bosch makes great products and they also make terrific long lasting windshield wiper blades that I have on my Crosstrek as well. Must buy!

works as intended, never see dust floating around in the cabin; also have allergies, but not when in my car. no noticeable/significant difference in airflow until around the 11 month mark
I have to pass within 1/2 of a mile from a landfill every day. All I have to do is switch over to recirculate and I never have to smell the distant stench.
There is a review claiming that it is not a HEPA filter. Regarding HEPA filters in general (vs any regular cabin filter), you probably won’t be able to see the difference with your eyes. All personal experience and evidence is that it is a HEPA filter as it is marketed. There is a decent visual at the bottom of this product page showing the 500x magnification difference. check it out

Holy smokes Carmax ! This was probably worse than my engine air filter.
I’m buying a few of these and keep them handy with a few kids, a dog, pollen you name it.
Keep the nice cold AC blowing in your face much cleaner with this cabin filter.
