My 2001 S60 T5 has been running pretty rough lately but just recently through the code for the front O2 sensor. It was so bad that the car would occasionally misfire under accel. and stall at idle. For the longest time there were no codes except for after a stall but none of the codes many any sense. I am very familiar with these cars and have already replaced the ETM and have fresh ignition coils on the car after one went bad last year. At 210,000 miles I thought the rough running was just due to age and wear especially since there were no codes. Then finally I got the code for the front O2 sensor and that actually made sense. I replaced it and the engine is running perfectly smooth again! I didn’t think it would ever run this well again. These engines are tough with the proper care and maintenance!
I bought the special tool for replacing the O2 sensor but the new sensor came in before the tool so I tried removing it with an adjustable wrench after thorough soaking in penetrating oil and it came right off. Just be sure to remove the engine cross-stay bar (strut bar looking thing) for easier access and do it with a cold engine. I was able to reach the connector by snaking my arm between the transmission and the brake lines coming from the airbox, Not easy but doable. Don’t forget to clear the code!

Worked like a charm on 2000 V70 GLT. Easy to unscrew the sensor from under the car. Unplugging the wire was really hard to get at. Once done, I reset the CEL and the car works great now.

I installed this in my 2001 Volvo V70 T5 that was causing ECM-280A DTC code. The code has not returned and my gas mileage is back to normal (26 mpg highway).
