RHIANNON BASDEN –
Fit my 04 Silverado 1500 perfectly and cleared my p0420 cel. If you have the same code wait like a week after you clear, it the cel might come back but mine went away again after a few days. Cheaper the. Anywhere else also. I did order a 2nd one and it came looking slightly used not as good as the first one the cap was off as well

Watch out, Amazon keeps sending out used for new. Has grease all over it. If I wanted a used one, would have went to the junkyard and got it for $5 not $25 for a used o2 sensor! This is to many times now this season.

Very good product OEM fitment and build quality, used to solve lean condition in bank 1 causing overfueling, whole bank 1 misfire, and horrible fuel economy.
Problem was immediately fixed after replacing the sensor

There isn’t much to say here- It’s simple and works. 5/5 stars; Upon installation, it drastically improved mpg and caused check engine light + error codes to go away. You’ll need 2x of these for the upstream.
These do not work as downstream.
Bosch is one of the better brands in my experience when it comes to O2 sensors and stuff like this in general (spark plugs, etc).
It would likely work in any early 2000 5.3 LS, but that’s just me eyeballing. Be sure to verify fitment before purchase.

This solved my check engine light for oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1 ( driver’s side, upstream, before the catalytic converter). I’ll update if it does not last long, but seemed like quality. The oxygen sensors are tough to get out, so if you run into that, search for tips and tricks removing oxygen sensors. What worked for me was pb blaster and cutting the wire so that I could put a 22 mm or 7/8 socket on the sensor. Or if I had enough room using a wrench and you link up a second wrench on the end to give you more length and leverage. Look for those tips and tricks and you’ll get it done.
I already have a name –
Replacement was not too hard. I watched a few YouTube videos first. It’s not complicated. On my driveway, I drove the vehicle up on my oil change ramps to give me room to get underneath the vehicle. I blocked the tires and put jack stands in place, for safety. I followed the YouTube instructions to locate and disconnect the plastic connector plug. I used a large adjustable end wrench to loosen and remove the sensor from the exhaust pipe. This O2 sensor came with the anti-seize lubricant already applied. No need to buy any. It took me about an hour, but I work slowly.
