Excellent product. I bought two of these bad boys. For my Volkswagen passat 2.8 , 3.0V v6 2001. I forgot the code but it was showing the check engine. It is very simple to put it in my Volkswagen there are two one behind or underneath the antifreeze and the other one is on the right front size of the car all the way on the bottom. 2 years now and my car is working fine, no problem no check engine light.

Researching the code provided by my OBD-II reader on various VW forums pointed to the Camshaft Position Sensor. I went with the OEM sensor vs. something of questionable lineage from China. It was a simple 30 minute replacement, including re-viewing instructions on the forums as I was thinking “it can’t be that easy”. It was though.
As it turns out, someone I know who used to work at a foundry that makes the sensors (they are “Hall Effect” technology) told me everyone buys their silicon from the same place and the difference is in the plastic. And the Chinese are pretty good at plastics. So I probably would’ve been Ok with the less expensive version.

Had a sensor code on 98 Audi 2.8 and bought this as a replacement. All local stores needed to order it, and wanted quite a bit more money. Between this and the O2 sensor I bought, saved over 90 bucks and had them in 2 days.

Good product for the price. It works but still concerned about not knowing manufacturer.

Had a Audi that suddenly would not start right away. After going to the Audi forums I was told to replace this. When I took the one on my car off the wheel inside was all bent which broke the sensor inside this CPS. So I also had to replace the wheel but after doing so the car started fine. Saved $$ doing it myself, I would recommend the Audi forms for help and purchasing the parts from Amazon when available. I could have purchased elsewhere but knew I could easily return it to Amazon if it was not correct.
