I purchased this wash mitt and was not impressed at all. It feels very cheap and doesn’t work well. Feels like a dollar store item.

This Blackline Microfiber Car Wash Mitt is different from other car wash mitts that I’ve used before.
Most mitts I’ve used were soft and floppy, but this one is like a firm sponge mitt covered in soft microfiber so it’s stiffer to use on the car. At first, I thought this might be a bad thing, but it turned out to be a good thing. The firmness helps it hold up to the soapy water and makes it easier to reach lower parts of the car. In other words, because it’s firm, it gives you more cleaning area, reaching areas that are a bit farther away from where you’re pressing with your fingers.
It’s definitely too stiff for getting into the nooks and crannies of alloy wheels, but it’s quicker and easier to wash flat surfaces on cars compared to traditional, floppy mitts.
The microfiber is extremely soft, so I’m not worried about it scratching my car.
So other than cleaning the alloy wheels, this is now my go-to car wash mitt.

This mitt uses microfiber pile as opposed to the more common microfiber pills/strands. What I like about this compared to other mitts is the foam backing within the mitt which gives it some rigidity when using it. This mitt won’t stop water from touching your hand as it doesn’t use a guard/shielding. When i used this on my car and my friends car it was able to be cleaned well with my grit guard so scratching was reduced. The price is a bit on the higher end but you’re still getting a quality microfiber mitt.

The Blackline Microfiber Car Wash Mitt works great for a quick contact car wash. The mitt is rather large and the foam is a bit stiffer than the other channel wash mitts that I have, but I find it works great for quickly soaping down and gently scrubbing the larger body panels of my cars. The mitt hold a lot of soapy water and did not leave any fiber residue behind. The Blackline Mitt has also held up well to several washing machine cycles. Not much more I can ask for in a car washing mitt.

All my other wash mitts are the chenille type with all the little microfiber nubs hanging off it. These have served me well for years but I’ve seen several of this newer style of microfiber wash mitt and I wanted to give it a try.
Boy am I glad I did. This genuinely feels like it’s getting more dirt off my vehicle while also being more gentle on it. The mitt holds soap and suds really well due to a foam insert inside it. I really like this for all the large body panels of my truck.
The downside to the foam insert is that it can make it difficult to get into tight spaces. This isn’t a huge deal with my truck since it’s mostly large panels, but if you have a smaller compact vehicle or a luxury vehicle with intricate details or patterns in the grill or something then this may give you some issues.
Overall though, I love how soft and gentle this is on paint while holding tons of soap suds and getting tons of dirt.
