I use this to pump used motor oil that I burn to heat my house. It does pump oil great, and quick too. I will say this, use the biggest hose you can. The smaller the hose, the louder it will be. I put a 1/2″ washer hose on it to try it out and wow was it loud. Once I knew it worked, I put my 3/4 hoses on from a previous pump and it did quiet it down a lot. I would say that a 1 inch hose on both ends would make it quieter. I’ve only used it to pump about 35 gallons so far, so only time will tell how long it will last.
Edit March 2023
I have 2 of these pumps now. One is a mobile setup to pump the oil into my 275 gal tank, then I have one mounted in my garage to pull oil from the tanks outside. I have pumped at least 1000 gallons of waste oil thru these. The only issue I had was we hit negative temps here, and the pump would lock up after a few minutes. It did not like -10 degree oil, which is understandable. Once it warmed back up, all was well.

I saw a few reviews that were harsh, but a decent bit of good ones so I decided to try the pump myself. Initial impressions are good. Motor is heavy and well built, doesn’t get very hot, internal fan moves a LOT of air. Suction is wicked on this pump, I am using the 1″ suction hose, that’s sold by the same company for this pump. The self-priming ability is very good as well, I can’t believe this pump is so affordable. The hoses are absolutely a steal, very, very good for the money. The hose AND pump include a filter for suction, so that the pump doesn’t suck in any foreign material. It is a cleanable filter made of a steel mesh that can be removed to further clean it. The pump moves waste oil (mixed engine, gear, and transmission oils) with ease. It’s much faster than those twin diaphragm pumps that most garages (including mine) had previously. It seems to use a generic switch and run/start capacitor that can be replaced easily if the need ever comes. It also has a anti-drainback valve, so it will not drain the oil out of the hose when it is done pumping, which is a huge plus.
TL;DR Pump works great for waste oil transferring, it’s incredible what you get for the money. I highly recommend this to any shop owner or fellow mechanic who would like a cheap yet extremely effective way to transfer waste oil.
NOTE: YOU NEED 1″ SUCTION HOSE; DO NOT USE NON-REINFORCED HOSE. If you do, you’ll burn this pump out super quick. The thread type of the pump is BSP, which means NPT fittings will NOT work. Make sure you get the correct type.
The hose from the same seller that works fantastic is here; https://www.amazon.com/BLACKHORSE-RACING-Transfer-Threaded-Couplings-Kerosene/dp/B098DMTXBV?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1
Highly recommended, 5 stars all around.

I got tired of me and my guys doing transfers by hand. So I picked this pump up and so far it works great. We’ve used it a handful of times and hasn’t let us down.

Great pump! Works well on lighter oils

It has an on/ off switch on the pump, so it’s easy to stop flow quickly when transferring waste oil. I’m using this to suck a 15 gallon rolling drain pan empty after changing oils in semi trucks. The hoses that they sell for this are a good buy and work well. I primed the pump, but other reviewers say it self primes. Pumps good, but man is it hellatiously noisy! Noisy to the point that I have to use hearing protection when using it. Simply ear piercing. As long as it keeps pumping oil, I’ll deal with the noise. Hard to beat for the price.

For just under 100 dollars at the time I bought this pump I think its pretty hard to beat this thing in value. Have this connected to my farm diesel tank. Pumps fuel really fast can fill my tractor in about a minute and half. Runs the auto shutoff nozzel just fine. Starts under load no problem. Draw back is it is noisy but I dont really care not like its running all day long only use it for 5 minutes once a week at most. Again for the money I cant beleive how well this thing works would for sure buy another one. Time will tell how long it lasts I guess. I have another one that looks very similar to this unit that I paid over 200 dollars for and that was three years ago that one is going strong still. So I have high hopes this one will do the same. I would for sure buy this again.

I use this pump to transfer waste oil and it works great, even in below freezing temperatures.
As others have stated, there are 2 filters that must be kept clean to insure good flow and reduce wear on the pump. One is on the inlet side of the pump which is accessed by removing the inlet side plug with a 10mm allen socket. The other filter is located on the end of the pickup hose and is removed with snap ring pliers.
I have found it helpful to attach a fiberglass snow marking pole to the pickup hose with zip ties. This allows me to adjust the depth of the pick up hose to keep it up a few inches from the bottom of the tank that I am removing oil from and avoid clogging the filters with sediment from the bottom of a dirty tank.

Used the first time and pumped 50 gallons. Loved it. Made all new hoses for it etc. Put away on shelf.
6 months later I need to pump a big 100 gallons. pumped for 3 mins and the inside of the pump came apart. Now it does not work. Trying to communicate with this company is a complete joke. I understand that it has a 3 month warranty. All I wanted to know is if I could buy a replacement pump or if they could tell me a pump number to get. Nope. Instead I get non English people that play stupid. I WOULD NOT BUY THIS PUMP! Spend more money and get a pump MADE IN THE USA!
STAY AWAY!!!!!!
