I kept this spray in garage until I needed to use it.
brought out, shook it a lot. Sample sprayed it, the only thing that came out was liquid not color.
I was hoping to use on a couple of projects.
I went to Home Depot for my Gloss for projects.

I used a bit more than half of this can to treat the black plastic trim on my two year old Transit van. The black was faded from abuse and not being washed in that time.
I tried spraying this on a rag and wiping it on like some other oils but it does very little like that. Spraying directly on the plastic makes terrible looking streaks. It took spraying the revitalizer directly on the plastic and polishing out immediately to produce an even coat. I used a microfiber rag that got dirty but didn’t get wet or moist even after completing the entire van. I applied outside in a dry, 70 degree day, not in direct sunlight.
It rained the day after I applied this and the rain beaded up on the surface.
The van looks great and it really didn’t take that long. I did use a lot more than I expected though. I’ve used other products on other cars that spread out a lot better. If this lasts a long time then it’s worth it. If it fades in a month I would not recommend it.
Since the van looks nice I’ll give this 3 stars. It did take more work than expected and used a lot more product. Application was tricky since buffing in needed to happen with a certain urgency or the product did nothing.

First, there’s no product out there that can actually “revitalize” vinyl…UV rays and oxidation of the oils within the plastic cause the fading one experiences with any vehicle, motorcycle, car, etc. Aside from dying the black plastic, which has its own set of headaches, you will have to reapply any product as the vinyl/rubber fades again, regardless of the promises made by the seller…
Having said that, this Hog Wash does a great job. I used it on a motorcycle, a KLR650 with a blue gas tank, a satin-black motor…OK, it was satin black 25 years ago…and in front, there’s vinyl fork boots….I sprayed everything…in spite of not being black, the metal tank cleaned up easily and had a good shine, The Hog Wash really shone…no pun intended…though with the satin black motor and the fork boots…I applied the product with the engine cold, and the rarely cleaned metal looked like new…no streaks, and no white residue in the various nooks and crannies.
Same with the flexible fork boots…I easily sprayed the corrugated gaiters that were developing some cracks and checkering, and afterwards, they had a nice flexible feel to them….the checking and cracks didn’t disappear, but the boots had more flex than they did previously. In spite of the fact that Hog Wash specifies that this product is for black surfaces, it seems to work with any color and any material. If I had a black motor (especially one with a matte or satin finish like some Harleys have) with its attendant heat, I would definitely use this product, since it didn’t streak like some other products have done once the engine warmed up. This Hog Wash is similar to a detailing spray made by a Japanese motorcycle company, and works as well. It even did a good job on my acrylic windshield.
Just don’t expect it to be a apply-once miracle spray…
The smell….yes, it does have a unique fragrance…if they say it’s “watermelon, fine, and it certainly smells better than the scent of futility and broken dreams that permeates my garage, but it’s like someone described the smell of a watermelon to a martian, and the martian tried to synthesize that scent, which might be good or bad…that’s up to you.

Works perfectly on my FXDB and restoring that wet engine look. The smell is of watermelon scent and is pretty nice when you hop off after riding for a while you can smell it displacing off the engine itself. Super cool! Keep in mind a little of this stuff goes a long way. You don’t see shops carrying this stuff it’s usually an order only kind of thing but it’s worth the money and lasts a couple months.

This spray is a silicone that makes your black plastic and rubber shiny. Just spray on and wipe. Even if you get it on your paint, just wipe off. It does work pretty good as you can see the before and after pictures of the car door. You can still see some streaks if you look close but overall it makes it look a lot better than before. Not sure how long it last after you wash it. I have used other sprays and they all seem to be the same. My guess about a week or two depending on weather. It does not feel greasy and its not messy to apply which is basically spray and wipe off. On small spaces, just spray into rag and wipe. Its a good product, but then again its just a silicone spray.

This product works miracles. I’ve used it a lot in the past. It’s a bit expensive but worth the price. Highly recommended!!
