Put these on the front of my 2000 Tundra myself, a little tricky compressing the spring and getting them in, but that is with every strut not particular to these. Second set on the front of this Truck, smooth ride yet tough enough for the rough stuff. I use a different brand on the rear after some testing though. Cant go wrong every 70K with these.

Used for my 2004 sequoia. Rides more firm than stock but retains the comfort. At first, it was a bit stiff but after a few thousand miles, they are now “broken in” and rides much more smooth. It helped a little with towing my 2500lb trailer as well.

This is NOT DIRECT OEM FIT! I have an 02 sequoia SR5 4WD. FIRST thing I notice is that I bought these and opened up the box. The bilstein box themselves were all torn up and taped to hold the damn box. I have no hate against mexicans but we all know most stuff being made and even assembled there is not quality stuff. It said assembled in mexico but i took the risk. Theres scruff marks on the shock as if this was already someone who tried them on. “NEW THEY SAID”…. I DIY and wow… no one said anything about a 1 inch lift difference from OEM cause DAMN the spring need to be compressed to MAX!!!! I thought this was suppose to be oem fit, not struggle for 4 hours on 1 shock. That place holder for the spring at the bottom of the bilstein shock, broke off because theres a ton of compression and stress on the spring and oh boy, Im glad it didn’t kill me. Other people must have gotten lucky or something but guess it wasn’t for me… I can’t return it because I already f%@# it up and that’s a bummer because really whos fault is it? Cheap stuff…. really angry and extremely dissapointed…

I put these on the back end of my 05 tundra and saw an immediate improvement over the stock shocks. The originals had 135k on them, and were not leaking, but wow, what a difference. Cornering is much more stable and the ride quality is phenomenal. I put a couple Monroes on the front end a few years ago after one stock shock started to leak. I couldn’t tell the difference between the Monroes and a leaking stock shock when it comes to ride quality, handling safety, etc. Needless to say, I’ll be putting a couple Bisteins on the front as well. Very impressed. I’ll never buy cheap shocks again. These are great!

Pair of struts installed fairly easy on a 2004 Tundra Double Cab and the compression of the springs took most of the time. Just an FYI, also bought on Amazon, are the Lisle McPherson Strut Spring Compressor and it will not work with the Tundra’s springs. While the Lisle is Made in USA and quality built, ended up renting a spring compressor at O’Reilly’s which wasn’t “fully” compatible with the Tundra’s springs either! Wasn’t able to use the retaining clips on all four clamps due to, again, the springs diameter and it was a bit nerve racking! There were claws in the rental that fit snugly enough for it to grab securely but just make sure you do it slowly and interchange both sides as even and as careful as possible. Power tools are not recommended to be used for turning the spring compressors by the way and to do otherwise, is at your own risk, which i did!
Better ride and smoother handling after initial test drive but maybe due to both struts that were replaced are blown, even with just one of them having an obvious leak. The blue and yellow, claim to fame color scheme, just shows underneath and it’s awesome! Comparing to the replaced Monroe’s seems a little stiffer and steadier ride but not a night and day difference. Compressing both of them after installing the Bilsteins would not even compress back up anymore hence the more pronounced smoother ride I guess? It is recommended inspecting them at least every 50,000 miles, putting in all factors of your driving habits and conditions and quite honestly, I’m just starting to realize that now as my truck is getting older.
Last but not least, I don’t know if its going to be a dealbreaker for anyone thinking about purchasing these 4600’s and while upon initial look and inspection that screams quality, they are Assembled in Mexico! I would assume that there’s nothing wrong with it as being an inferior product due to its geographical assembly location but was a bit surprised. Did so much research on them & even the picture on the Amazon ad shows “Assembled in USA” to buy a quality known German brand that I thought was assembled by Thyssen-Krupp USA only to receive a product outsourced for assembly in Mexico! I’m asking “PLEASE” not to get me wrong here as I do not mean anything degrading, anything at all, non-whatsoever, but just sometimes I question the quality of imports even if it is carrying a brand name. I’m almost sure they all adhere to the strict guidelines for quality control and specifications as long as its legit and not a knockoff or a counterfeit! Is it wrong to see that label that says “Made in USA” to make you feel all giddy? But hey, maybe it’s just me?

I combined this product with the EMU Brand Heavy duty Coil Springs since I have a ARB winch bumper. My trucks character changed immediately and now rides so much better!
