    Great quality. Robust boots. Full kit with clamps and grease. Has dimples that mate well with the axles.

    I have bought the same kit from local parts stores and saw this on Amazon for $10 bucks less so ordered it. The package came with only on clamp, so I ended up reusing the old ones, which luckily on this car can be reused without damaging them. Given that the car needed to be put back in service quickly, I could not wait for a replacement part to be shipped. Also, the package grease looked different, the c-clip was slightly different and the boot, while very similar also seemed slightly different than the one from the local store. Not sure why, but the quality seemed a little less in the Amazon one, even though the box was identical. It all fit okay.

    Installed on my wife’s 2006 Legacy 2.5i in about 1.5 hours start to finish. You’ll need a set of snap ring pliers to release the splined roller assembly from the CV shaft, but otherwise no specialty tools are required. I released the knuckle from the strut in order to pull the CV shaft out of the cup on the transmission; I prefer this approach as sometimes those cups (the green part at the end of the axle) can be a pain in the butt to get in/out.

    Docked one star because the replacement snap rings were a plastic-y material as opposed to the metal snap rings that came off the OEM axle shaft, and the clamps provided are (in my opinion) inferior to the OEM clamps that seal the boot to the cup and axle shaft and seem very easy to over-tighten and tear into the boot. Not a big deal as you can definitely re-use the OEM parts if you’re careful removing them (e.g., don’t cut the boot clamps!)

    I would purchase this part again without hesitation!

    El producto no coincide en su diámetro interno ni externo, es inferior en mas de 1, 2 cm en la descripción mencionan que encaja en un subaru outback entre 2005-2009, pero es no es real.

    I blew out a inner boot on my subaru. As the factory axle shafts are better than replacements it was worth it for me to rehab my OE unit. This fit as it should and i had no issues installing. Only a bit longer of a job than swapping out the whole shaft, mostly in cleaning the old grease and debris out of the joint.

    Excellent product and includes everything that you will need. If you are not familiar with this style band. You will need to buy a special installation tool. If you buy it installation will go fast. If you choose not to buy it. The band may break or the boot may leak. The tool is cheep to buy. I bought mine for less than $15. Your looking for a Universal CV Joint Boot Clamp Banding Cutting Tool. They have other models that are less expensive but don’t include the cutter. I recommend the cutter.

    Did well to replace my ripped boot. Quality seems close if not equal to OEM. Been a few months and holding up fine so far.

    Clamps are not as good as stock, but will work just fine if necessary. Much cheaper than OEM. Would buy again.
