Nice looking charger and it worked pretty well keeping my battery charged. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and my car battery is maintaining its charge. Everything is easy to use and it is very convenient.

It’s a pretty nice-looking charger it certainly has a high end Italian style. The charger works well and seems high quality, the wires and clamps are decent quality, and the main body has some weight to it. I think the indicator lights should be better it’s hard to interpret what it’s doing at certain times; I also think at this price point it should have a LED display screen with voltage and function, it says it has eight charging cycles but without a screen it isn’t clear when it’s doing any one of them. I like that this is designed to stay hooked up as a battery maintainer float charger and the charger has screw tabs on it’s base so you could screw it to a wall where you park your bike. It’s a very nice charger and aside from having trouble decoding the flashing indicator lights it worked well for me and as an over winter trickle charger I’d trust it a lot more than those cheap wall wart type chargers.

This does not revive dead cells in a battery. Goes from 100% to 50% when the charger is removed (from ~12v to 10.6v actual voltage). Might be able to revive recently-discharged batteries and not one that has been sitting a couple months. Works great as a battery charger/maintainer. I’m not sure about the “desulfurization” ability of this device, but it works pretty good.

Weird shape , I know but it irks me. I also don’t care that the quick connects are Deutsch style connector as it doesn’t match the more common SAE connector on my other chargers . This means I can’t swap this charger between vehicles that I have permanently wired SAE leads to the battery terminals. Fine if you are only get for one car but doesn’t suit me with multiple vehicles.

Working great so far. I charged up an older motorcycle battery that I knew wasn’t in great shape and sure enough it detected internal corrosion and went into the de-sulfate mode. Then it charged it up to full and went into trickle charge maintain mode, all automatically. Excellent! I don’t have big hopes of it doing a lot to renew the old battery to anything close to new condition since desulfating chargers can only do so much, but it’s awesome that it has this feature which does help to an extent. As an experienced motorcycle mechanic, I know for certain this could have drastically slowed the decline of this battery if I had this sooner. Infrequent use of the motorcycle has allowed the normal internal parasitic draw of the battery to lower the battery voltage to the point (on several occasions) where corrosion could easily set in.
This charges at 1.5 amps which is actually a pretty good rate for motorcycle, atv, pwc, utv, lawnmower etc batteries. You could charge them considerably faster with a more powerful charger, but faster charge rates can take a toll on a batteries that size. For slow charging, maintaining, and to some degree restoring batteries, this is a great little unit.
The only thing I wish was better on this unit is that the indicator lights are not very intuitive to interpret other than the charge level indicator lights. But if you are like me and would like to know at a glance what it’s doing at any given time, you’re going to have to refer to the instructions to interpret what it means when certain lights on it are flashing fast or slow or are green or yellow. I’d much prefer if it had dedicated LED’s labeled “Desulfating” ,”charging” , “maintaining”, so I don’t have to hang onto the instructions which are in many languages and are in tiny text. But it’s still much better than most in function, seems like it has a very durable case, and looks cool too. This is a really great one for the price which is why I’m happy to give it 5 stars.

I have attached this battery charger to a maintenance-free battery that had previously tested bad. The battery’s CCA capacity was very low and unable to start the motor.
This battery charger was able to charge the battery up to approximately 13.7 volts. After removing the charger and letting the battery sit overnight, the no load float voltage dropped to 12.8 volts.
Re-testing the battery revealed no performance increase. I then reattached the charger and left it hooked up for over 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I still saw no performance increase. The recovery, desulfation, battery analysis, maintenance and equalization cycles did not appear to repair my bad battery. Digging further into the manual it says that this charger can only repair “levels of mild or medium sulphation”. I guess my battery had a more severe level of sulfation. Apparently, this charger was designed to be used as a preventative measure against sulfation in a brand new battery.
