The cover will not clip down if you secure the terminal all the way down on the battery. The plastic cover should have an area on the top to allow for terminal spacing, so the plastic cover fits all the way on. The finish on these terminals should go through a deburring process to eliminate the sharp corners. Otherwise, the price paid is correct for this quality. I’d pay 3 dollars more, if you fixed these mentioned issues. P.S. the bolt and nut are engineered to go on 1 specific direction. Look at the plastic cap, the side with more space is where the nut end goes. Price was good, shipping was fast. I did have to sand out the inside of the holes where it looks like the plating chemicals were not completely rinsed out.

I purchased these to replace the factory ends on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. The install was easy; cut the old off, clean the wires and tighten the set screws.
The first thing I can tell you is these things are solid and have a good grip on wires and battery posts. Much better than I was expecting to be honest.
The second is that when I hit the remote start, because I was being lazy and didn’t want to walk three feet, the horn was louder than before and nearly gave my father in law a heart attack. After I jumped in to go to the store I realized my whole stereo system was much louder. Something about more power to the amps., factory and added sub amp. I have already trashed a speaker in the door.
But these for all your automotive needs they will fix mechanical water pumps, empty fuel tanks and even crushed seats from your sister in law. However they will not shut up the kids unless you throw them hard enough.

These were easy to install with my 38 year old truck having multiple leads going to the battery and it cleaned up the engine bay and looks professional.
