Looks great

I build and work on street rods, resto-mods and restorations as well as late model cars and trucks. I recently had the opportunity to order and review this battery hold down bar.
The piece is true aluminum high density billet rather than a machined casting or forging. The J-Bolt and remaining hardware are steel (not stainless). Nice nipple to fit on top of the J-Bolt. I’ve seen and bought hold downs for more than 4x the amount of this one and they were not any nicer than this one. I won’t give is a point off for having steel rather than stainless steel because the bar itself is of absolute quality.
I keep up with my reviews and will revisit this one should the need arise.
I give this cross bar my Big-Foot “Stomp” of approval and 5 stars!

This looks amazing in the Jeep and the quality is great!
Even with having to modify the Jeeps battery tray a little, it turned out great! The posts that came with it look a little long, but that didn’t hurt anything, but it’s a consideration, it almost hit the hood of the jeep, and some vehicles have less room.
As I said, I had to modify the tray to use these, the normal 98 Jeep Cherokee battery tray has offset brackets, and It’s been so long I forgot why the bracket was gone.
Aside from the J Bolts being a little long, that is nothing a dremel cutoff wheel can fix if you are already modifying!
On with upgrading the Jeep!

I had to get a new tie down, so I went a little flashy. Installation was straight forward for me. I like it. It gives the engine compartment some color. I might actually paint some of the plastic pieces to try to match. Its fun, doesn’t add much but still fun.,

Super lightweight and very good looking hold down bar. The bar is so much lither than traditional ones and it looks so much better.
I’ve never had an aluminum allow bar before so I’m not sure if it will get corrosion like traditional bars but so far it works and looks great.
I will update the review if there is any con in the future

This is a sturdy battery bracket, but it wasn’t a great fit for my 24F battery. It was slightly too narrow to fit over the battery as intended, and the center of the bracket was slightly too wide to fit between the reservoir caps on my battery. By itself, this bracket would not fit securely on my car battery. However, my battery was already being held by a heavy-duty rubber strap before ordering this bracket, and when I tightened down the bracket on top of the rubber strap this resolved the previous fitment issues well enough for me to get a secure fit.
The bolts were longer than needed for my battery and I had to cut about an inch off of each one in order to be able to close my hood. Since I have an angle grinder, this wasn’t a problem, and I would rather have the bolts be too long than too short. If you don’t have a tool for cutting metal, though, you may not be able to close your hood, depending on how much clearance you have between your hood and your battery.

I can’t say how well this works for a battery on a vehicle. It was used to secure a battery for a tilt trailer with remote. And for that, the J-hooks were plenty long enough. But the battery was originally intended for a Chevrolet 1500 and everything fit correctly. The brace itself feels really durable and has secured the battery nicely. The battery sits inside of a tool box style area that comes stock on the trailer. For my intended use, it worked great and I’d highly recommend it!

Adds a nice splash of color to an otherwise all black engine bay. Installed nicely over my battery and it’s made of aluminum, so it’s lightweight. but strong. Definitely stronger than the stock tie down that came with the car. It looks great!
