Master battery disconnect switch works as it should. Although this says it’s water proof this doesn’t come with an IP67 or similar quality certification. The bracket is solid and nice for lock out applications. Overall, this switch looks and meets the quality of our other similar master switches.

First impressions, the appearance is great. It looks and feels of good quality. Installation was easy and it’s performance is an upgrade from the switch that my mini excavator came with. I was able to connect it with no issues and it fit as expected. If you are looking to upgrade your switch, this is a good option.

Ok, I know this is overkill for my application. I really only need 50A (maybe 100A for inrush current). This one is rated for 500 A. As other reviewers noted, it’s beefy. It’s in a different league compared to the cheap plastic ones.
I went with this because I don’t want any voltage drop running high currents to the trolling motor on my boat, which is powered off a lithium battery so it’s capable of quite a bit of current. When I tow the boat on my trailer, I would disconnect the cables from the battery terminals just in case. Before putting the boat into the water, I would then have to connect the cables again to the battery terminals. Not hard to do, but extra hassle.
WIth this switch wired in, I can leave everything connected, and with a flip of the switch I am ready. Definitely recommended.

All these 500 amp switches are all the same. Theyre made by the sam people just different people selling them so do a search for the best price. I really like them. I only had one that malfunctioned and it was my fault but they are fixable. They come apart easy with screws. They are like the old school products that don’t break when you take them apart. For heavy use they can be taken apart and contacts can be cleaned. But you probably won’t ever use on that many times. These are built very well and its so impressive that they are built like things use to be and should still be. The price of these are even more amazing at around $20 each. You’re not taking any chances buying one of these one iota.

works great at stopping battery draw after shutting down power inverter in my solar system. this is great letting the charger replenish the batteries without wasting power on the inverter.
