Although this speed sensor did not show as compatible with my E93 M3 (2011) it fit my rear wheel location just fine and worked perfectly. Resolved my ABS system issue and limp mode operation for transmission etc.

Was an exact replacement for the stock part and works perfectly.

ABS Light started coming on. Would clear at times (drive a bit in reverse, turn off and remove key, start and go) and seemed to appear less after some inspection and fiddling with sensor, but within the next week eventually solid on with no clearing. Autozone code reader indicated right rear wheel speed sensor. Dealer wanted nearly $200 for part and advised to get a diagnostic for a hundred more because no returns on their part if it didn’t fix it. Checked it and looked dirty but fine overall, but ABS Light would come back often then constant. Decided to try this part due to low cost.
This part looks identical to the installed part to the finest detail. Except new looking. Replaced with no difficulty and had to remove wheel and the fiber barrier (about 10 screws of 3 types) above wheel. Overall took around 30 minutes but knew what to do having already taken wheel off previously and inspecting the sensor a week or so before replacing. Fit perfectly.
After install and test drive the ABS cleared in a few seconds and hasn’t returned after a short test drive. Will update review if part fails but it looks just like what was there so I feel some confidence it will be fine.
Probably 90 minutes of time overall (two inspections and one replacement on 3 different days) and about $15 part vs trip to dealer and $200 to $300 if diagnosed, for part and likely $500 overall or more if dealer would have fixed.
I had tools and a jack to lift car so not including that in cost comparison. The ribbig is perfectly placed and is to the side of all clips. No need to buy in pairs.

Amazon said this was the wrong part for my car, so I ordered their suggested part. To my surprise the part Amazon sent was wrong. Disassemble your part before ordering. Lights on dash went out immediately. Perfect OEM fit. Actually fit better than OEM. Thank you!

My dash lit up like Christmas. I had ABS warnings, check engine warnings, and a triangle thingy (yes, that’s the technical term). So I have the Carly diagnosis module Original Carly for BMW Wifi Adapter Generation 2 Iphone and Ipad – Best App for BMW. I plugged it in, to find that my right rear speed sensor was bad. What a relief. I just knew I was going to be out $2k on a new ABS pump.
I shopped around and found a speed sensor on Ebay for half the price of this unit. I ordered it and waited two weeks for it to arrive, only to find out the description on the site was wrong and it did not fit my car.
After driving around for a few weeks with these crazy warning lights, I was not messing around. I came to Amazon and ordered the correct part with free prime shipping. Two days and 15 minutes later, I had the new part installed and reset my lights. It works perfectly. I’ve got 100 miles on it as of this writing with no re-occurrence of the warning lights. I read some reviews of another brand speed sensor, that did not fix the problem. This one solved my problem.
You really do need to run diagnostics to make sure of what is wrong and which wheel is effected. But once you know the problem, this solution worked for me!!

They worked great for my car and after clearing the codes in the DME all of the cluster warning lights were gone. Do your research and make sure that you have a bad sensor first. When you determine its the problem replace them in pairs they aren’t that expensive and both sensors will give the same information to the DME. This eliminates different values being sent to the DME from unmatched sensors.

Only downside is the ribbing on the side of the cable makes it hard to clip back into place. But the sensor is affordable, the exact same type as the old one, and fixed my issue.

Installed on 2011 BMW 335d. Easy to install no error codes on scanner. Let’s see how long it lasts compared to OR which lasted over 139k.
