When I drive my car one day, the vibration was increased suddenly during stopping by signal. I found the #3 cylinder has miss-fire. FORD had withdrawed from Japan so far and most of the parts must be imported anyway, thus I purchased via Amazon.

I immediately replaced all ignition coils after recieving. During the replacing, I found the tip of #3 coil got wet by water. After removing the water, install the New one. Other cylinders are not gotten wet, so it’s no idea why only #3 cylinder has issue. But I can find other reports which #3 cylinder has miss-fire in web, so there may be any cause by design.
Also there were other issues on my car. One is can’t accelerate smoothly from very low speed in some case and another is feeling a little vibration when cruising the highway by top gear.

Anyway after replacing the all coils, the miss-fire is cleared and the engine gets powerful and smooth than original. The all issues has been solved. I guess there were similar issues on other coils.

I perfectly recommend to replace to this coil if you don’t have the issues currently.

My son has a 2005 F150 with the 5.4L Triton. It began idling rough and throwing errors for a cylinder 6 misfire. First thing we did was swap the plugs, no fix. Second is the coils. I decided to try these aftermarket units due to the reviews and the fact that they are cheap in comparison to OEM.

I had my son swap the coils because I’m old and achy, and its his stupid truck. When he finished the surgery it wouldn’t start at all……damn. Unfortunately he had tossed all the stock coils in a box and didn’t set the one from cylinder 6 aside, thus we had no idea which one was the potentially bad one.

I had him pull all of these off and put the originals back on, hoping the faulty OEM coil would be easily identifiable by continuing to throw errors, wherever it may be installed. What happened though is that the stupid truck started right up and ran like a champ with no misfires….of course it did.

As I was scratching my head and contemplating the finicky nature of old trucks I noticed the flaw in these coils that prevented them from working. While they mounted up fine, and seemed to fit perfectly both mechanically and electronically, the spring that makes contact with the plug is about a half inch shorter in these than the OEM. They simply didn’t make contact with the plugs when fully seated and screwed down. I suppose a guy could stretch the spring out a bit to make contact if need be. I probably would have tried it myself if the OEM coils hadn’t magically started working again.

The build quality of these coils seems to be every bit as good as OEM and they are a whole lot less expensive. I guess I wouldn’t tell anyone to NOT try them, but you do need to ensure the spring issue is not a problem in your application.

Terrible product, one ignition coil failed from the start and another the head broke off. Cheap plastic would not recommend

These are same quality as your local auto parts store. 8 for the price of 1. Ive never had a single issue with any of them and have ordered for multiple vehicles. Will buy again!

    Installed these work just fine
