What comes in the box is: Timken SET 10 bearing and Dana/Spicer seal. Can’t beat the price if you need to replace a rear axle seal & bearing on your Jeep’s rear Dana 44.

The bearing set I received was timken, no issues there. The seal leaked right away from around shaft of a new axle. Couldn’t find any markings on the seal. I replaced it with the National 9912 seal and have been leak free.

I received some nice Timken bearings and some retainers that worked fine. All checked out and I didn’t have leaks and then after getting home from work I check again and the passenger side is leaking. Upon pulling everything back apart I found no damage to the seal (from what I could see while it was still on the shaft) and decided to thoroughly clean my dust shield and axle tube, as well as double check the shaft to verify it didn’t have any faults or pitting where the seal rides. I made 100% sure everything was seating correctly and reassembled. After a short drive I noticed leakage yet again. My bad for trusting the cheap seals supplied, now I’m out the bearings and retainers as they have to be destroyed for full disassembly. GET NEW SEALS.
