Static noise when I installed it not worth of purchase

After reading JasonDFW and PTruslow reviews of the product (below) I took the chance and bought it for upgrading my recently re-installed stock 2002 Toyota Avalon JBL radio (reinstalling the radio from a JVC replacement stereo unit that was acting up JVC unit had aux 3.5 plug and bluetooth so I wanted those capabilities with the stock unit). After modding the ground plug in as mentioned in the previous reviews I proceeded with the install. The installation was straightforward; the Yomikoo adapter plugged right into the CD changer plug on the stock JBL radio and worked on the first try of testing . Sound was awesome and the MPOW bluetooth adapter I had (also from Amazon) worked flawlessly too. No static or hissing whatsoever. Reinstalled the radio unit back in and all is well after the first couple of days. Highly recommend it!

It does the job but for some reason it will randomly decide to stop working when you power on the car. And you can’t just turn the radio on and off, you have to restart the entire car! I have a 1998 Toyota with factory radio (they used the same radio in all models). But for the price and how often it does it I would recommend it unless you have more to spend, then by all means do so!

The device works but as other have pointed out there is a manufacturing flaw. There is a misplaced ground connection on the outbound connector. Thanks a lot to Jason in another comment that documented how to fix it. Now I have crystal clear audio in my 2003 Toyota Camry. No more janky cassette adapters or worthless FM transmitters. Would have been 5 stars but for the defect

I’ve only just installed this, but I’m giving it 2 stars because it’s listed as compatible with my car and it actually is not. Maybe I’ll give it another star if it works really well from here on out.
I purchased the 5+7 PIN adapter as listed compatible with my 2001 Toyota RAV4. Upon installing, I found that I’d get a loud deep hum anytime I connected something to the AUX cable. Didn’t matter if it was my phone, a bluetooth kit, or a ground loop isolator, they all hummed when connected. It obviously wasn’t a ground loop issue, because it didn’t depend on the thing being connected to AUX also being connected to power or anything else.
I saw P. Truslow’s review on this product and it helped me to solve the issue. I’m going to go through the steps more explicitly than he did to save others trouble. As P. Truslow explained, the problem is that the AUX ground isn’t connected to the analog ground.
1) Open the adapter box by peeling the sticker off and removing the two screws (this is where I was boneheaded and resorted to RIPPING mine to pieces before discovering the screws)
2) Carefully disconnect the ground (black) wire (you can pull the connector out to do this) and put it in the Analog Ground position, right next to the other two wires.
3) Close it back up!

You may need to change the location of the ground wire! It’s not that complicated. Other than changing the location of one of the pins, this product is AWESOME. I recieved it in the mail the same day I was leaving for a roadtrip and was worried I would be opening a can of worms trying to install it the same day that I was leaving but I did the installation without taking apart anything on my car! (2002 echo) took 10 min to figure out. Honestly it was one of the shortest parts of getting ready for the roadtrip and had the best impact on it. I do hear some feedback when I’m charging my phone while listening to music but once I unplug the charger it goes away. Pretty standard but kind of annoying.

2004 camry LE works great, didn’t have to remove the radio to insert the connector. Hint, just remove the ac controller and that should be enough.
I did have very bad noise and engine noise coming out the speakers when the listening to music with the car on, but it was due to incorrect ground cable inside the adapter. Ive found pictures on here *listing on how to fix it* very easy.

Very easy to install, drilled a hole in the plastic and made a nice oem aux plug in. Works great. Definitely follow the videos about the ground issues

I replaced it with a different brand, which worked well. Frustrating that this brand did not work.

The installation for this was super easy, the only difficulties came from getting the car itself ready. This device itself is plug-and-play and sounds good.
