The shock is not built correctly for the 2011 Chevy Equinox. The strut has a slot for the bottom hole to allow for alignment camber adjustment. That is great except the Equinox does not have camber adjust on the original strut nor most replacement struts. I would have returned them but my daughter needed her car and other than the brake line bracket not fitting properly, due to a casting error, the strut fit. There is a problem with the alignment but it is close enough there will be no abnormal tire wear.

My mechanic had no problem with install But 1 of the 2 struts was making noise when driving over bumps Will need to return that strut and hopefully another one will be better

I was happy at first but after less than 11 months noise was coming from front end on turns. Took it to the shop and mechanic pointed out that the top of the strut came apart and allowed dirt to enter which was causing the noise on turns. Since there is only a 6 month warranty, I was out of luck. He also noted that this was not a safety issue but the noise was annoying. Ended up replacing them after one year with another mfg.
