When I read the reviews on this item, it was suggested to watch YouTube videos. It turned out to be great advice. This is the first time I have replaced a power window motor and it only took about an hour to do it. The only other advice I can offer is to purchase both white lithium grease for the cable guide and a dry lubricant for the glass guide. My window works great.

Despite the part being advertised as working for a 1998 Dodge Durango, the motor mounting bolts were incorrect. The regulator mounts and the motor plug appeared to be the correct Dodge design, but due to “piss poor” machining/molding tolerances, neither part assembled correctly–turning a forty minute job into a 3.5 hour odyssey. If it were not for my engineering degree, a mixture of old parts lying around in the garage, and the motivation of impending rain, this job would not have been possible. This part alone will leave you with a still broken window mechanism and a lot of passive agressive anger simmering in the background. If you are thinking of buying this part for its low price, realize you could probably get better machining tolerance with an 18 volt hand drill. You might be thinking that the slotting in the sheet metal for the bolt pattern would allow for pretty bad tolerances, but if I did not have my drimmel handy, there would be about an eighth inch of sheet metal standing in the way of me installing this part. Since the connector just plain did not fit despite being the same design, I ended up having to use the old motor on the window regulator assembly just so that it would connect. See photos.

I was lucky to find a video online that showed exactly how to replace the window motor assembly.
Knowing what to expect made it so easy to replace. The part fit my 2001 Dodge Dakota and is working perfectly.

Mine lasted 14 months. Same thing the plastic broke that the cable runs around like the original.. It did not fit right either i had to drill a new hole

Original product worked great. Had to drill a new hole. However, product broke within the 1 year warranty. I emailed seller and replacement item arrived before I knew they were sending it! Very fast replacement! 4 stars because the original one broke. The new one bolted on using original holes.

Perfect fit for a dodge dakota 2001 quad cab stl this part is for the rear driver passanger door. Tools need is a torqx t20 driver and a 10mm hex bit to install make sure to secure the glass while you are working with it
