I have been using Auto-Vox solar rear view cameras since they first went on the market and their latest model is by far the most elegant, easiest to install and, with a 7 inch monitor, gives the best, most detailed image yet. The camera and solar charger are in one unit and fit easily above the licencse plate. Installation takes no more than a few minutes and I have found Auto-Vox products reliable and long-lasting. I still have my original unit working perfectly on my Camry. This unit was purchased for my vintage Saab 2002 convertible and is very necessary as rear visibility is not great when the top is up in bad weather. Highly recommended for all your older vehicles without a backup camera.

In order to have a recording in case of an accident, I purchased the Auto Vox Wireless Solar 3C Backup Camera. The installation was easy and straightforward without the hassle of wiring. It can be installed on either the front or rear end of the vehicle.
The camera and monitor are paired via Bluetooth allowing for quick and wireless connectivity. The image quality is clear even in low lighting, and the wide-angle view provides adequate coverage of the surroundings. The camera operates in real-time when the vehicle is in reverse or drive and supports 8G-64G TF cards for recording.
I really like the size of the monitor and its menu features, which are easy to navigate and customize. One notable feature is the ability to rotate or mirror the image depending on the location of the camera, making the set up more versatile. You can also connect an additional camera to the same monitor and switch between the two channels.

My first one had a defective camera (wouldn’t charge) but the replacement works beautifully. I use it as a front camera and it is easy to change the view appropriate for looking forward rather than backwards. You can also flip the image up/down so that the camera works regardless of installation orientation. The guidelines can also be eliminated. Easy to install and works great!

This has turned out to be a great backup camera. Having previously used other backup cameras, I really appreciate that there are no wires to run or batteries to worry about in order to use the camera. The screen is bright and clear, and large enough to easily view without being in the way. This is a great camera for use on a trailer or larger vehicle with limited rear visibility, and because it is wireless, can also be used as a front facing camera for any application that may require one. An unexpected use I found for it was placing it in my truck bed to view my dogs while driving with them in the back for piece of mind. All around useful camera at a good price.

The backup camera was basically plug and play and super easy to set up. After making sure the camera was sufficiently charged, I hooked up the monitor to the cigarette lighter and turned on the ignition. The picture quality is very good, with markings that show red, yellow, green zones when you’re backing out. The wide format allows great coverage of the road, however the camera lens tends to make cars behind you seem much further away than they really are when you’re using the camera on the road. The monitor turns off after 4 minutes as a default. A cool feature allows you to record with a sd card inserted which I haven’t tried yet. Overall, really satisfied with the ease of use and connectivity, the ability to charge with solar, and good quality image.

Die Montage dauert nur wenige Minuten. Die Verbindung erfolgt ohne Probleme.Die Bildqualität ist in der Grundeinstellung schon gut.Die Verarbeitungsqualität der Komponenten ist ebenfalls gut, fühlt sich nicht billig an.
Die Funkreichweite ist auch für ein Wohnwagengespann voll ausreichend.Schade ist nur, das sich meine vorhandenen Camera nicht als 2. verbinden lässt, so ist man auf einen kompletten Systemwechsel festgelegt. Der Abbildungsmaßstab bei der Verwendung als Solosystem ist aufgrund des Monitormaßes eher Breitbild, bei geteiltem Bildschirm etwas klein, aber trotzdem ausreichend. Es empfiehlt sich eine Steckdose mit Zündungsplus, da ansonsten die Gefahr besteht das die Cam der Batterie mehr als nötig zusetzt. Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

This is a sweet deal for a solar backup camera. This is a wonderfully easy camera to install, all you need is a screwdriver to remove the license plate. Take off the license plate, insert the camera bracket behind and then reinstall the license plate. Turn on the Camera. Attach the monitor to the dash with the provided mount and plug in the power cord to a 12v receptacle. Ready to go in less than 5 minutes. This has a nice display, the ability to display 2 cameras simultaneously and a memory card slot to store video footage. Very good deal.
