Smooth movement. Looks like it belongs in my Excursion from the factory. Some people complain about it being to bright but I have it on my A pillar and I think the light output is what it should be.

I purchased this transmission temperature gauge for my third generation Toyota 4Runner. I like a full gauge cluster so that I can monitor the vital functions of the engine.
As another reviewer noted, install was super easy and it has been working flawlessly since September of 2013. This review is being done in late January of 2021, so roughly about eight years. In this day and age of throw away items, Auto meter deserves positive recognition for building a quality transmission temperature gauge.
This gauge replaced a much pricier transmission temperature gauge that was DOA out of the box. So it was refreshing to find a quality gauge that also matched the Toyota factory light green gauges.
This is definitely a five star item.
