After burning up the transmission in my last truck, I decided to install one of these in my new truck as a little bit of insurance to make sure I don’t overheat it on the highway(I drive from CT to Maine regularly). I used a GM pillar gauge mount and installed it myself. The included probe fit perfectly in the test port in the side of my trucks 4L60E(albeit very difficult to reach with big hands) and overall installation was roughly two hours from start to finish. It works great and it matches the stock gauge cluster perfectly, my only gripe is that the lightbulb is internal and not removable, so it doesn’t match the blue LED’s I have in my gauge cluster. Other than that this is a great purchase and I would recommend to anyone who does long distance drives with bigger tires or with a trailer, or just those that are worried about their vehicles like me.

This thing was perfect for my gauge pod, it matched my 93 jeep grand cherokee cluster very close. I am extremely happy with this.

Gauge as seemed to work, no crazy display out of the ordinary temperature readings. Easy to read.
What has made me rather embarrassed, after quite awhile of having this gauge I’ve realized I somehow got the face from an autometer 2010-8449 (and presumably housing) but the needle is one from 2011-8349 it works but the whole time I didn’t realize it

Worked out great in my 06 Silverado but the sensor that goes into the transmission has me worried how far it goes into it nervous it may be blocking flow hard to say

Looks great and just as the picture does. That being said all you get is the guage itself plus a couple of fittings. Does not come with a wiring harness of any kind so your left on your own to either make one up try to find one that will work. I decided to send it back and get an all inclusive kit which was honestly cheaper then just buying the guage itself.

Gotta love that it matches the gauges in my suburban!

Previously I had Max Tow Double Vision. I liked the gauge and all the features but It failed after 1 year. Replaced with this autometer. Installed temp sensor in the pressure test port on my 4l60E. Port is located near shift linkage on driver side. Works great and no need to drill pan for temp sensor.
Autometer gauges do not have wiring supplied with gauge, note that. Gauge design, text and needle matches my factory cluster and works as it should. Light green hue doesn’t exactly match white cluster backlight.

Perfect for my needs. I installed it and was really easy.

Added this to my k2500 suburban. Installed on my pillar with a single pod mount (Auto Meter 15101), and put the sensor in the test port on the side of the 4L80E. May eventually add a bung and install it on the side of the trans pan! (getting the sensor into test port, and the wire/nut on it were likely the hardest part!)
