The company called me to tell me that what they were shipping was a display model, and wanted to give me the option as to whether this was acceptable. I told them it was fine as long as it was new. It arrived, and looks perfect. I will check the gauge using the probe in a pot of boiling water, but don’t anticipate any issues.
