Worked as advertised on my 2017 4Runner TRD Off Road.

I wanted to convert my 2016 SR5 Tundra to have an automatic headlight control. My older Tundra had had it, and so does my wife’s Sequoia.
The SR5 dash is already wired for this sensor. Pop the dash pad, remove the dummy plug, plug in this sensor. Job (sorta) done!
The ‘hard’ part is installing the new multi-function (turn signal) switch.

Make sure you verify your year model. This one worked perfectly and the response time for switching on and off are good on mine.

Why Toyota produces a dummy plastic part to sub for this sensor is stupid. I guess they want you to upgrade to pro or limited trims.
Unplug the plastic placeholder, and this fits perfectly in wiring harness. My dash dims and brightens with the outside light now!!

Will not fit the plug in jack for my 2007 Toyota Matrix. But, it was cheap enough so i am not crying about it, nobody else had anything close. I missed the return deadline by the time I found it. It got here fast too. Factory no longer sells these.
