Although Amazon shows this gasket will fit my 1995 F·150 4×4, it won’t because of the bolt holes in the new gasket are too small to fit around the factory metal spacers on the pan.
The 1995 E4OD has a pan that has metal spacers formed around all 20 bolt holes.
The gasket holes must be large enough to go around those metal spacers. This ATP FG-300 has hard plastic spacers which are molded into the gasket material, but they fit over the bolts but do NOT fit over a factory pan that already has the metal spacers (which cannot be removed.) The result would be hard plastic spacers sitting on top of the metal pan spacers and a lot of fluid leakage.
I suspect the pans were different in 1996 and had a flat gasket surface so the ATP FG-300 would work.
However, the ATP gasket is well made, but the packaging was too small so it bent the gasket a little.

Great product and super good quality. I was really surprised how clear everything was.

This gasket is not made correctly, the compression stops and the rubber to make the sealing part happen are almost the same thickness which leads to leaks. I been working on auto’s since I was a teenager I am 52 now, never have I seen a new part fail ‘out of the box’ like this. I called my local FORD dealer up and talked to know PARTS person that I have know for over 8 years and he had 1 on the self. $34.00 for the TRUE gasket from FORD dealer and a $10.00 for a multi-use transfer pump to recover all the transmission fluid through the dipstick tube to get the fluid below the gasket line, and let it sit for 24 hours, then I took the transmission pan down and found transmission fluid was between the gasket and case and pan, it left a nice trans fluid outline of the gasket on the pan. Now for the transmission fluid that leaked out, we spent about $60.00 on transmission fluid before I had time to check where the leak was coming from, it should have been fixed the first time with new pan and this FG-300 gasket. I opened a new complete rebuild kit I had on MY SELF to fix the trans pan gasket with a NEOPRENE design, yes NEOPRENE in a Transtec rebuild pack. If you use this FG-300 gasket go on and buy some ULTRA GRAY and slob it all over the mating surfaces, then install or it will leak. WE almost burt up our 4R100 transmission using this gasket, 4000.00 to rebuild 1 of these transmissions over a $20.00 gasket, wish I could send the gasket back and get a refund and compensation for the transmission fluid but it wont happen.

This gasket fit well and there is no leak. For some reason the gasket I changed about 6 months back was leaking so I decided to try and different brand, and this one was a bit more expensive but I have found with a lot of these parts you get what you pay for, and so far so good, no leak. Thanks for a great product!!

This is the best gasket I have found for E4OD pans with smooth flanges. I will not work on pans that have a flange with ridges between the bolt holes. Works good on the Dorman pan with the drain plug. Don’t overtighten !!!
Thank you –
This gasket was perfect on my 2001 F250 4×4 V10 pickup. Though my truck has an aftermarket deep sump pan with a one piece o-ring seal. Instead of replacing the one piece o-ring, I left it in place after cleaning the surface with dry shop towels only. I was able to use a thin layer of black silicone gasket maker between the pan and gasket itself. Didn’t apply the silicone between the trans and top of gasket. Have done some heavy towing about 200 miles and not a single drop has leaked. Before it would have lost a quart or two and been sprayed all over the exhaust and undercarriage which is concerning in the summer. If you have a stock trans pan you won’t need the gasket maker at all. This gasket appears to have a double lip and is a rubber type material that should allow you to remove and reinstall multiple times.
