Put it on a 70 C10. Shorter than the other one but it’s doing the job

I’m giving 5 stars out of benefit of the doubt. It looked good. The length was perfect. Fit well. However…I believe that because I got in a hurry and didn’t strap it in place it laid on my exhaust pipe and melted it so badly it stuck and won’t rotate. Or… The internal worm screw in the transmission is broken. So it never worked…. But I do NOT believe it is the fault of the product. So I would purchase again if I find it was the cars fault.

This product fits my 1962 chevy II nova perfectly. This would have been a 5 star review if it wasn’t for two things.
1- the cable is not pre lubricated as mentioned by others before
2 – there is a gap in the jacket crimping on the transmission end. ( This will cause fluid leaks if your transmission already leaks there )
Fixing number 1 is easy, just pull the core out and grease it as you put it back in.
Fixing number 2 requires having some gasket silicone and electrical tape. On the outside I put a thick coat around the end of the crimped jacket and start wrapping the electrical tape starting on the outside towards the blob of silicone. I carefully wrapped the silicone with the tape untill all the silicone covered. I then did another tighter pass with the tape as to force the silicone on the gap. I left the tape in place and now that section is sealed.
So if it wasn’t for those two issues this would be a 5 star product. Overall I looks solid. The length was perfect.

Replaced damaged speedometer cable on 64 Chevy nova, perfect fit, I did pre grease cable and sealed transmission end with a dab of silicone on outside of crimp fitting just in case speedo gear leaks

Amazon showed this as being a fit for my 1977 Chevrolet Silverado, it was not. It was about 2 feet shorter than the one I took off my truck and the end that plugs into the back of the gauge cluster was not correct. This is a screw in type and the one on my truck turned out to be a type that just pops in and is held by a clip on the cluster.
