Don –
this product did not fit our 2004 F150 as it had indicated.
Don –
This cable DON’T fit a 2004 F150 as they claimed the end that holds the cable to transmission is too small
w –
just what I needed
Michael –
Product was 4 inches too short. Page said it would fit my vehicle. Seller promptly refunded me although I would prefer to have exchanged for proper unit instead of being without a vehicle for an extra week.
PAULITA FABRO –
Product did not fit my vehicle.

This is a very poor quality replacement. It was advertised as a replacement for a 1998 F150 with a 4R70W transmission. I will start with the good. It was the correct length overall and the end connectors were solid like the original. That wraps up that section. Now the bad. The upper wire guide is about an inch shorter than the original. This would not seem like much but when the cable is adjusted properly, it causes the rod that travels thru the wire guide to actually reach the end of the guide. This makes the shift from P into R almost impossible. The shift will go from P all the way to N, then you have to up shift back to R. Keep in mind that this is after a proper adjustment on the lower connector. Now to the lower connector. If you adjust it forward to remove the slack from the cable, it will no longer reach to the lowest gear (1). If you adjust it to where it will reach (1), it becomes impossible to shift. Now some minor things. On the original shift cable there is a rubber boot over the flange between the lower wire guide and the insulation. This one has none. On the original there is a plastic clip below the insulation that holds it in place. This one there is none. The original has a wire clip above the rubber floor seal. This one there is none. I hope that this one is just defective and others may be ok, but I can only review what I was sent. I had to return the Item.
