Have a GLL Z31 with a failed sending unit and fuel gauge on the cluster. Perfect size to slice up the top cap of the tank to drop it in. Get about a half inch from the bottom of the tank. Seems accurate enough. I don’t foresee any issues with it, was able to use included gasket and don’t get any fuel smell in the cabin

It does work as advertised, but with some tolerance required by the user… (Wiring it is OK if you know what to do with it. I really like their adjustable color option in these gauges.) But the readout (on a 5″ depth model that is) is not as accurate as say an auto gauge is. For example, the gauge holds F until the fuel level is about 1/2++, at which time the gauge reads 3/4. As the fuel level drops below that point the gauge decreases its readout to about 1/4, then it shows E at about the 1/4- fuel level. So if your fuel level is between the gauge’s 1/4 and 3/4 marks your actual fuel level is OK (but the gauge is not too accurate in that range), when the gauge hits E there’s still fuel but you better not bet on how much is actually in the tank after that point, you better fill up when you can. So you can’t drive and watch fuel drop and use E as an actual end-point, E is really a warning mark. But as an indicator (not so much a gauge) it is successful.

I liked the newer technology of this tank sending unit. Instead of the older conventional float on a pivoting arm attached to a variable resistance, this unit utilizes a donut shaped float that moves up and down on a vertical tube. I think it utilizes variable magnetism. You just purchase the correct length tube for the depth of your tank. No height adjustments to mess with or float arm length. This gauge / sender set replaced an older generic conventional float assembly on my old truck such as I have described and I could never could get it adjusted correctly to read the fuel level. No such adjustment necessary on this new unit and it reads correctly. The screw spacing on the sending unit flange even matched that of my old float assembly so no cutting, drilling or other modifications were necessary.

Bought this for my 2008 Rhino 450, which does not have a fuel gauge. Installed very easily with slight modification to gas tank. Works very well and now I know how much fuel I have! Installed a momentary button along with it, to change colors on the gauge. Matches my switch panel perfectly.

This gauge doesn’t work. Also the installation instructions tell you to hook up the brown wire to the positive side but there’s no brown wire coming out of the back of the gauge to hook up! Avoid
