I purchased the 7″ HD Apple CarPlay Portable Touch Screen as a gift for my father-in-law, and he absolutely loves it. His car doesn’t have built-in Apple CarPlay, so this was the perfect way to bring some modern tech into his daily drives without needing to replace the entire stereo system.
The screen is bright, responsive, and easy to use. My father-in-law quickly got the hang of navigating through apps like Maps and Music, and he’s been impressed with how clear and intuitive the interface is. The 7″ size is just right—not too big but large enough for him to see directions and controls easily.
Setting it up was straightforward. It comes with a sturdy suction cup mount that’s stayed in place even on rough roads. Pairing it with his iPhone was simple, and the wireless CarPlay feature works flawlessly without any lag.
The built-in speaker is decent for calls and directions, but he’s been using the aux connection to play everything through his car’s speakers, which gives a much better sound experience.

I reluctantly ordered this multimedia player since it seemed too good to be true at this price. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of set up and how user friendly it is. It does everything it promises! The screen quality is very clear. It is easy to see during the day and has night mode so it’s not too bright after dark. It also comes with a few different mounts which makes it pretty convenient to mount the way you’re most comfortable. After using it for a couple months, I ordered three more as Christmas gifts. Every recipient was excited and quickly grew to love it as much as I do (one of them belongs to my 80 year old mom!). I’ve also had inquiries from others that may turn into additional purchases. The only downside I’ve found is that the sound quality isn’t great but it’s sufficient for the price. I would not hesitate to recommend this product or purchase it again in the future.

It works well, my only complaint is sometimes the screen disconnects from my phone randomly for about 10 seconds, but it comes back on. It was easy to install, and does what I need it to do. I just wish it would connect the audio through the cars Bluetooth instead of me having to connect my phone Bluetooth to the car, and the CarPlay to my phone. But overall it works good, and gets the job done.

Not only is it easy to set up, but it actually works! I installed this on a 2000 Toyota Camry with no aux port. I have a bluetooth cassette adapter that’s paired to my phone so I can use the car’s speakers. Running the wires for the backup camera was easy, as the wire itself is super long for my little car, so the only thing I needed to worry about is tucking them away. I used t tap connectors to tap into my reverse light (the positive wire is the red one for my car); once connected, the screen automatically gives me a view of the back up camera when i put it in reverse. I just have to adjust the height of the camera to make sure I’ve got a good angle and good view. The clarity/resolution of the back up camera is pretty good for the price as well.
The unit itself is cute and doesn’t obstruct my view very much. It works as well, maybe even better as the expensive screens on our 2021 car. The built in speakers themselves are not impressive at all, but that doesn’t bother me since I am using the car speakers.
Once I set up the unit, it automatically connects to my phone without me having to fiddle with it. The unit turns off and on with the car, just like the built in screens that come factory installed on new cars. Once I turn on my car, the unit starts up. When i turn off my car, it turns off as well.
So far, I’m in love, though only time will tell how this unit will hold up. But as of right now, i do not regret my purchase and I’m actually looking forward to driving to work tomorrow morning….wait, did i just say that?

It looks and feels good, the screen mirroring is very poor but the apple carplay and android auto are functioning well, the build quality is as expected, i do recommend this product but don’t raise your expectations so high.

System itself was easy to connect. I used the audio cable for ease of use.
