I bought these for installing in a custom cabinet I built in my camper van and in existing cabinets in the van. When placed properly and with the proper number of struts for the size and weight of the door, they work great. I can’t stress it enough that placement matters. How you want the door or lid of your cabinet to open and how high you wanted to open and if you wanted it to be soft close or not, all play a role in where you place the struts. Once I got the placement down, the struts were super easy to install, and I’m really happy with the way they work.

The cheap clips that hold the struts on, come off very easily and are extremely difficult to get back in place.

I like EVERYTHING about these EXCEPT they are nearly impossible to remove from the Ball Mount once they are snapped on to it.

These worked perfectly on the short doors (12″ tall)on our camper. Easy to install…took 30 minutes to install all 8 of them.

I ended up returning as they would not fit my application. They looked quality and seemed appropriate, depending on application. Just weren’t for me…

Packaging a lot of times is more about marketing. You tear open the package and find out maybe you don’t want the item, so now you have to put it all back and try and make it look decent. Even worse, you keep the item and have to through some non-recyclable plastic out.
But, what if a company sends you your items in a really nice and reusable bag with a heavy duty slide lock? I mean, if they put this much thought into their packaging, what kind of thinking and quality do they put into the product?? Yep, I’m really impressed with the packaging!
It was so easy to open the package and inspect the product. No stress in opening, no stress if I had to return the item, no stress in having to throw out or recycle the packaging because I’m going to reuse it. What’s not to be excited about!
Oh, the actual product! Yeah, about that, tight, sturdy, easy to install and works as expected. No surprise there. I mean, look how it was packaged!

These work amazing for our over head cabinets in our travel trailer to keep them up until we close them. No longer need to hold the cabinet door up, can go hands free!

We recently traded in our trailer for a new one. Our old trailer had this type strut to hold the cabinet doors open. The new one lacked them. I was glad to find these and a good price. The cabinet doors are light, so I only need one for each. I have a spare since I only needed to use three. Now I don’t have to worry about trying to maneuver items in and out of the cabinet while holding the door up.
The instructions were included and were clear about where to mount the brackets. Once that was done, I snapped the strut in place, and I was done. I had to add a piece of wood to the back of the cabinet face for the round bracket, but that was not hard.
Bottom line: If your RV did not come with them and you have lift-up cabinet doors, get these. They will work and save you a lot of frustration.
