I have a vehicle that doesn’t get driven much and I’ve toasted more than one battery because the vehicle has some slow current drain that I haven’t been able to track down. I’ve tried other battery cut off switches, but they were clumsy and ineffective and in some cases just didn’t work.
This shut off is so simple. When I first saw it, I couldn’t imagine why anyone would use anything else. It’s pretty large, but it’s made to accommodate a lot of amps, so you want large, heavy, copper. You want this. No installation required, per se. No drilling, no screws. Just disconnect you battery terminal. Set this on top of the battery and then connect your battery terminal to the other end. Under 5 minutes.
The only caveat is: It is pretty big compared to some other devices, so make sure you have room to install and use it. You can modify the installation to have the knife swing up or to the side, so you have some flexibility there. If you have the room, this is the perfect solution.

Fit car battery (2000 honda accord) just fine, simple install. I ended up switching the terminals around, it was an easy two screws, so that the switch could lay open with the hood closed and not bump into the firewall.
With the switch closed, resistance was well under .1 ohm, across the brass terminals it measured .02 and from batt terminal to negative terminal .03. I was worried that it may it might impead the amperage to the starter but it’s no different than negative To starter readings, soon you’ll see no difference in performance with it installed. Seems durable enough, I zip tied it to the battery to prevent the plastic part breaking. Great value for the piece of mind it give and it’s easy way to disconnect the negative.

This switch is nearly identical to one I made as a kid in boy scouts for a merit badge. Its very easy to install but it has to be on the correct terminal. Many reviewers complain that the terminals ae not the right size and I am guessing that most people that had problems did not realize that the diameters of the negative and positive battery terminals are different. The positive terminal is larger than the negative terminal on standard car batteries. if you put it on the correct terminal it takes just a few minutes to install the switch.

What a good product. It is simple and can be modified to fit in tight spots. I always disconnect the battery with this switch when I park in my garage to prevent fires.

取り付け跡が有り全体に変色汚れの有るのが届きました。
多少の取り付け跡なら使おうと思いましたが、錆汚れも有り数年使用された感じの製品で返品依頼し送りましたがそれっきり何の応答も有りません。まさかその様な対応に成るとは思ってなかったので製品の画像も撮影していませんでした。真摯な対応が有れば評価変えます。とても残念です。
追記
返品手続き完了し返金が有りました。amazonの返金手続きが少々分かりにくい所が有ります。
製品は良い物なので製品管理を慎重にして頂く事を願います。

Easy to install and easy to use. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars were the directions in the box. It is pretty simple to install but I always read the directions. The directions for the wiring diagram were so small I couldn’t read the text with my reading glasses. I was able to just make out the first three words which stated “It is imperative”. So in addition to the reading glasses I took a picture of the text with my phone and zoomed in while I held a magnifying glass over the text. In the end it took more time to try and read the directions then it did to install it.
