THIS HAS BEEN A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE SO FAR. I DID NOT IN ANY MEANS NEED ANY CARDS. I HAVE PLENTY OF MONEY & 3 BANK CARDS THAT I CAN USE HOWEVER MY X TARNISHED MY CREDIT SO I RESEARCHED THAT THE FASTEST WAY TO GET YOUR CREDIT BACK IN GOOD STANDING WAS TO GET A SECURED CARD. AFTER LOOKING INTO THE OPTIONS OF THESE CARDS I DECIDED ON THIS ONE SINCE I SHOP ON HERE SO MUCH. SO AFTER A SHORT TIME I RECEIVED THE ENVELOPE THAT I KNEW THE CARD WAS IN HOWEVER NOT READY TO USE IT QUITE YET I DIDN’T OPEN IT YET BUT QUITE QUICKLY AFTER I RECEIVED A BILL FROM THEM!!! FOR MY PRIME MOVIE PACKAGE WHICH WAS $14.99 MONTH, PLUS THE ADDED MOVIE PACKAGES OF $6.99 PLUS $8.99!! WHICH I KNOW IN BY ACCOUNT ARE SELECTED AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN FOR THE PAST YEAR, TO BE PAID AUTOMATICALLY THROUGH MY BANK CARD!! I DID NOT GET THIS CARD TO PAY MY BILLS NOR DID I AUTHORIZE ANYONE TO CHARGE THEM TO IT AS IT WAS CLEARLY NOT SELECTED TO DO SO ON MY ACCOUNT!! & DID I MENTION NOT ONLY HAD THIS CARD NOT EVEN BEEN OPENED BUT I STILL HAD NO IDEA WHERE TO PAY IT PLUS MY MOVIE PACKAGE WAS SET UP WHERE THE 3 PACKAGES WERE SPREAD OUT OVER 1 MONTHS TIME SO WHERE THEY COULD AUTOMATICALLY TAKE EACH FROM MY BANK CARD AS NEEDED.. WITH THIS SECURED CARD IT HAD ALREADY MADE THE PAYMENT LATE AS THEY WAITED FOR ALL 3 TO BECOME DUE IN THE MONTHS TIME!! UNACCEPTABLE IN SO MANY WAYS!! I IMMEDIATELY WENT INTO CUSTOMER SERVICE CHAT FOR A VERY LONG PERIOD WHERE THEY COULDN’T UNDERSTAND MY ISSUES…I WANTED THEM TO REFUND THAT CARD!! I TOLD THEM I WOULD STILL PAY BUT ON MY PAYMENT METHOD ON RECORD!!! IT TOOK A LOT OF ARGUING FOR THEM TO FINALLY AGREE BUT THEY ONLY WANTED TO PAY $6.99!! I REFUSED!! I TOLD THEM ABSOLUTELY NOT!! THAT THEY WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE $30.97!! FINALLY BEGRUDGINGLY THEY ACCEPTED AFTER I READ OFF THE ACCOUNT # ON THE CARD AND EACH TRANSCRIPTION # OVER & OVER AGAIN TO THEM… AND I TOLD THEM NEVER TO DO THIS AGAIN BECAUSE AS IT IS MARKED, LISTED & SHOWS & HAS BEEN THE PROCESS FOR THE LAST YEAR OR SO FUTURE PAYMENTS FOR MY PRIME MOVIES AND EVERYTHING ELSE UNLESS I SELECT IT NEED TO BE GOING TO MY PAYMENT ON RECORD. THEY AGREED…. WELL…I JUST GOT ANOTHER BILL AND SUPER SUPER LATE… TURNS OUT THEY DIDN’T REFUND ALL OF THAT FIRST ORDER. THEY MISSED $8.99 OF IT & THERE’S NOW 2 MONTHS MORE OF MY PRIME MOVIE PACKAGES ON IT!!! AND LATE FEES!!! SO A CARD I GOT TO REPAIR MY CREDIT IS MAKING IT WORSE, THEY’RE TAKING THE $ I PUT ON IN LATE FEES THAT THEY ARE SCAMMING OFF ME BUT GOING AGAINST THE RULES OF THEIR SITE (USING A NON AUTHORIZED PAYMENT METHOD) & I’M NOT ONLY GOING TO CANCEL THIS CARD BUT I’M GOING TO CANCEL ALL SERVICES WITH THEM WHICH IS CLOSE TO $60 MONTH WITHOUT COUNTING EVERYTHING I PURCHASE SO YES THIS CARD IS A JOKE & THEY’LL FIND A WAY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY & MAKE YOUR CREDIT WORSE. The card is ok. The points build fast and those are credited fast to use. However the payments take a week or more to become available. I paid off the balance April 7. Hit my bank April 8. Shows on my app no balance due on card BUT available credit takes weeks to update. So today is April 14 and still not available. It also took me two months to figure out once the store card was added to my Amazon wallet. All Amazon payments were automatically switched to that card without notifying me. So Amazon music, movie rentals,Audible all coming out of there which lowered my available credit, obviously without me knowing however, so when I went to use it, it would not have enough funds, and it would take up to two weeks to credit my account with a payment. I don’t think any of this is really Amazon‘s fault since the card is through synchrony, which has always been a difficult bank to work with.

Like a large portion of people in the US I have spotty credit, could be worse but there is room to build back. That’s what an Amazon “secured” Credit Card is helping me do. By setting my own spending limit and only using enough to pay off every month has increased my credit score by at least 10pts. Shows up every month on my credit report as paid and on time. If you can afford at least $25 a month out of $150 credit limit it’s a great, cheap way to build credit back. Like I said, it shows on your report as “on time” which is a big factor when having your credit run. In addition to a good card you get some pretty cool stuff from Prime such as tshirts, hats, household items, whatever. Keep it low, pay it off once a month, get something new on your card and repeat the process. I’m an ol’ Kentucky boy and this is a real review.

it’s a good way to start, as I have money and don’t need a card, but I need my credit score up, so I use it to buy everything on Amazon and pay it off the same day. I get 2% back on everything, so it’s nice. I should have put more down so I don’t have to pay it off several times a week and month, but it’s fine.

Its ok at best. I had some health issues that put me out of commission for several months and forced me into personal bankruptcy. I got the card to improve my credit.
The one thing I dont like is I cannot see my available balance when I am on Amazon buying things and navigating to the Syhncrony Bsnk site everytime sucks. I should be able to link to account onto my amazon page bute erytime I try it asks me to change my password so I gave up.
I have had the account since December and I buy allot of stuff and I pay a month in advdnce or whenever I am close to my limit. Until it was chsnges recently, I was waiting 4-6 days for my funfs to show my account as paid to “0” but I didnt know thst so I was still buying thinking it was all set. This csused the account to show unavailable funds and my credit took a severe hit each time. I got this card to improve not destroy my credit. I was paying the full balance a month in advance and still got hammered with bad ratings. You have to make it easier for people to see whst there bslance is and pay through Amazon. The current way is not working.

I enjoy my Store Prime Card. I am in more of control with what I spend. I set myself a limit and if I need to add more I can. I can either pay the balance off with a minimum payment or pay off completely, which is what I try to do. No issues or hassles. It Helps me Build my Credit . I like to use it mainly for buying books.

It’s good to re build your credit up. It also gives you advice on the outcome of paying just the minimum amount vs paying more. The only thing i dont like is that it takes a few days for them to remove the money from your bank after you submitted your payment.
