I have a 2000 model v-twin Murray with a tank under the dashboard. The old gauge is rusty and lived its life. This new one seems to be coated to resist rust.
This one screws on, orients properly (markings look correct).
Was thinking of taking off 1 star because the float is 3/4 inch shorter than the original. Not a deal breaker, these are actually quite hard to find. I did not because the dimensions are cleared marked in the description and you can measure what you have and make a decision if its for you.
The old one would show empty with bit of gas left, so this one will show empty with some more gas in the tank. Old one is also opaque and hard to read. Fine for a replacement. Price is fair too.

The cap seals good but gauge is almost upside down. No matter how you thread the cap, it’s always like the picture. Not as good as OEM.

Fit my Deere 318. Seals good and easy to use.
My only compliant was that mine wasn’t adjusted at the factory. So a full tank only read 1/2 tank on the gauge. It’s easy to adjust with a couple pliers. Just move the float to teh top, and bend the rod until the gauge reads full.
