I installed this strut bar on a stock 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer es and i can confidently say it went from a moving death trap going 90 on the freeway to a way better handling car going 90 on the freeway, definitely worth the money

Not sure if I have reviewed this prior. But awesome add to my car. Had for a 2012 lancer and car got totaled out about 2 weeks ago, however I bought a new 2017 awd lancer and this part still fits the newer models. Can fell the difference in handling. Would by again! Fast shipping. Pic is from 2012 lancer

Easy install and does the job

Came in today and installed it right away. Fits perfectly on my 2015 Mitsubishi Ralliart; easy installation. Takes about 10-15 minutes. A newbie could do it!
Went for a test drive and you can tell the difference in stability and hard turns at high speeds with and without this strut bar. Very good, at ease. Definitely will recommend anyone to buy this!

Great Product. Functional and looks great. Easy to install but the one bolt right underneath the wiper cowl closet to the firewall on both sides is a real pain to tighten, other then that its awesome!

Sturdy part, that perfectly fits on 2008+ Mitsubishi Lancer models. Easy to install, good looks and definitely better handling of sharp corner turns by vehicle. I recommend this piece to those searching for a good strut bar for their Lancer X. Fits perfectly on my 2012 Lancer GT.

Product arrived several days early. Took about 15 mins to install on my 2015 Lancer GT. Had to use a little brute force to get the bar to settle on the driver side. Other than that no issues. Car seems to be more stable after installing this bar. Package also contained two AEM stickers and a license plate frame.

I am starting a project to do some tunning to my car (2015 Lancer ES ) and this is the first strut bar I purchased. I fits perfectly and have very strong material.

First off, huge thanks to Ed who reviewed this product in June this past year. Secondly, AEM… you’re incredible. I’m writing this review half an hour after test driving. If it weren’t for poor visibility, this review would’ve been posted days later. And here’s why.
Before my purchase, my idea of a strut bar was basically a permission slip to turn more sharply at high or moderate speeds. Now that the bar is suited to my front suspension, it’s proven to be so much more.
The changes are subtle but there’s a wide range of effects. The feedback from my steering wheel feels wonderful. Man hole covers and minor road imperfections don’t disturb me nearly as before due to less body roll. And last but not least… going STRAIGHT is like riding a rail car through nirvana.
I can’t emphasize this enough. Going straight down the road is unreal. I wanted to coast and accelerate for as long as possible, but a thick fog swept in my area.
My tires are Dunlop’s Signature II All-Season model (205/60/16). These touring tires are more than enough for my taste buds right now. But a more performance suited tire at 225/55/16 is really peaking my interest (and only my interest).
As for now, I await for the fog to clear like a toddler expecting ol St. Nick on Christmas Eve.
The only draw back from this modification is it’s proximity to my air box. I haven’t tinkered with it, but my filter was replaced days in advance. Based on Ed’s response to my post (and a can of WD 40), I’m more confident in removing the bar for a simple filter change if necessary. Another down side is the suspension noise when driving over steep narrow ridges on the road. They’re like residual cement in the shape of spikes. The sound of rebound and spring compression is cool to me, but for non-car people this may be a bit bothersome. Personally, the trade-off for handling and feel over sound is obviously worth it.
I can imagine someone more mature or wiser than me fitting this bar to their Lancer. However, the kind of person interested in this stuff more than likely considered getting an Evo with a stock strut bar in the first place.
Basically, this bar should come stock with all Lancer trim levels. To me, it’s worth every dollar.

Installed in a 2015 outlander sport. AEM said it will fit and it does but with one caveat, the sheet metal around the studs are raised and do not provide a flush fit. The metal on the strut bar bent around the raised areas, which I guess is better than the body itself flattening out. Otherwise, once torqued, it doesn’t move and works exactly as a strut bar should. Highway drives are a lot smoother now and they should have never deleted it as OEM, unlike the older generations that have one.
