This filter is a perfect fit for my 1997 Nissan Altima. A bit snug, had a hard time closing the filter locks, but it fitted perfect. It seems to be better than its parent K&N, it doesn’t need the reoil part, so that in itself is a plus. Also, it seems not to need cleaning until 100k miles, but I’m sure I’ll inspect it every 10k miles, just to be sure.

I use this for my R33. It’s definitely a tight fit in the stock airbox with the thick silicon seal but seals up great.

Fits just right, i noticed a small mpg increase acording to my pathfinder’s mpg reader in the dash and it makes a nice induction sound when i give it gas. I like the fact that it uses no oil for a cleaner mass airflow sensor.

Very quality feeling compared to cheap paper filters. Very tight fit. I had to get out some Channellock pliers to squeeze the air box together so I could clip it shut. AEM should make the rubber frame just a little thinner. I haven’t noticed any performance differences in my 1994 Nissan Pathfinder. Shipping was quite slow (didn’t ship for about a week), but I didn’t factor that into my product rating.

Took a little work to get the filter assembly back together as this filter seems to have a slightly thicker flange than other replacements. I expect that to go away as the filter is continually compressed over time. Other than that it fit well and I expect a savings over the long run since I can clean it. Seems to be well made. Overall I’m happy with it. I’ve used other AEM Dryflow filters in the past. I’ve always like the fact that they don’t use oil like the K&Ns so you don’t have to worry about over oiling and damaging your mass air sensor.

So this AEM filter overall is decent. Where it excels is in ease of installation on my 2018 Murano, along with its durability and reusability. Does a great job filtering and gives a modest improvement in vehicle efficiency.
As a longtime user of K&N air filters, I’d bought this one in the hopes it would be easier to clean and reuse, seeing it’s a “dry” filter. Unfortunately this aspect seems to make it a monumental pain to clean. It took me over an hour, with four rounds of the spray cleaner, light brushing and rinsing to get it clean, where better than 95% of the crud was out of the filter.
I contrast this against my experience with K&N’s “wet” filters, which usually took one our two shots of the cleaner and rinszing to get the gunk out, then a reoil with their spray. I also noticed that this filter seems more fragile to the cleaning process than the K&Ns are.
Based on this, I am likely going to order a K&N wet filter and toss this one.

Very easy to install and fits my ’02 Nissan Maxima GLE like a glove! Great sound when accelerating, too. I’ve had it installed for about 1K miles now with no check engine light or performance issues. Not sure if adds any HP or not, but torque and throttle response does seem improved and that “grrrr” sound under hard acceleration is well worth the $$$.
