The oil filter sent would fit but it was an inferior quality filter and not the one pictured or described………I have a Z06 (supercharged) so I require the best GM oil filter from GM…..not their cheaper item!

Keep it simple and use OEM. You can research oil filters until the cows come home! Spend your time doing more useful things and don’t doubt the engineers. I’ve had a couple close closes with certain oil filters. Each time we change the oil and filters we inspect the the new filter due to a loose relief valves that have been discovered. This issue has occurred on numerous brands. It’s not directly related to a brand, it’s just they pump out oil filters by the thousands and things get missed sometimes.

I’m using this for my yearly car maintenance. At first i wasn’t sure wether to use this one (UPF64R) or the none R version which is slightly cheeper. Online suggestion were to use this one and reason was too technical so I’m using this and it works great for me.

These are the new filters Chevy recommends using on their turbocharged vehicles. Little pricier. Not the blue filters. Make sure you check before purchasing. Many are still selling the blue ones which will work for many vehicles however not with some turbo models. Call parts center at dealer to verify. Improved gasket, the filament appears to be better held together. Beefier cartridge
