These were for an ’04 Yukon XL rear liftgate.
The pros: very easy to install, fit perfectly, and hold the liftgate up like new.
The irony: I see people say not to buy imitation knock-offs from other countries, and that these are American made. The label in one pic illustrate that they are not, but they’re AC Delco oem replacements.
Closing: I gave the products four stars merely because I’m writing this on day One and, regarding durability, will update this review as time passes.

This rear liftgate support finally arrived and was not as expected. I was uncertain about installing the non-OEM part received and returned it since you have to be careful about using ones with too high pressure or it may cause leaks in your vehicle by exerting too much stress on hinges and seals.

Just like the OEM. It made the rear hatch on my 01 Tahoe lift and stay in place. Easy to install. Snap off the old and snap on the new. Suggest to have someone hold up the tail gate. These shocks as I call them lifted the door and closed with ease and no noisy shock sound.

I ordered these lift gate support struts for my 2003 Chevy Suburban 1500. I primarily ordered this brand since I know ACDelco is an official OEM supplier of parts for the Suburban. There were a couple of cheaper alternatives (by only a couple of dollars) that rated well, but I figured I would go with the known brand. I’m happy I did. The instructions that came with the struts are very poor. They are confusing because they contain instructions for changing struts of numerous connector types even though these particular struts have a single connection type. I finally got to the point that I threw the instructions aside and just went by looking at how the existing struts were connected to the vehicle. It was super easy. I just had to pull two retaining pins (one up top and one on bottom) on the existing struts and pop them off. Then the new struts just snapped into place. It was literally that easy. Just make sure you have someone with you to help hold up the lift gate while you are doing it.

Popped them on and they work fine. They are working great at 30F.
The smaller tubes are polished instead of black like the OEM ones. Not sure how I feel about that. Also, these are not OEM. The OEM ones are made by Stabilus and come in a Left Hand and Right Hand designation. Not sure why right and left.

Purchased two ACDelco 510-850 Professional Rear Compartment Lift Supports for my 2002 Tahoe LT. The ones on the truck were Stabilus and clearly worn completely out. Would barely hold the lift gate up. I searched on the web and found a video that showed exactly how to remove and install these struts so I had no surprises. These new ones were easy to install and now the back lift gate opens easily, rising to fully open by itself, and operates like new. These are not the cheapest on the market, but you get what you pay for.
