I knew my struts were bad for a while, they would hold my hood up but just barely… Then one day I was checking something under the hood outside and the slightest breeze slammed the hood. Thankfully my wrist and head caught it about halfway down so it didn’t slam down and break haha, but it left me with a pretty good bruise. Ordered these up, put them in, and now my hood opens on it’s own about halfway up/takes a little effort to pull down instead of just barely staying up!

Product works well, installed it myself for 1/3 what the dealer wanted to charged me. Found out it was made in China only when the box arrived. If this is important to you look elsewhere.

My hood now opens like a jack in a box. Perfect OEM part. Shipped to France by a week. My advice (experimentation proven) is to change the 2 struts with 2 identical units (even if one of the old pair is still good). So strength and stroke are equal on each side and hood can move smoothly without crooking.
