Either a defective sensor or as other reviewer noted incorrect description. This is not the correct part in the correct box, or it’s defective.
Does not move gauge and when tested in cool to hot water there is no change in ohm reading as it should to pass testing.
Total wast of money, and then time and effort trying to figure out way a new part does not work.

Coolant temp. gauge read too high at normal temperature. I think this sending unit is for a warning light not a gauge. Did not work in my 1955 Oldsmobile.
