order an oil sending unit. it is just above the starter and mine was leaking.

I’ve had this starter on my car 5 months and no issues. My mother in law had the same car, so when I heard her starter went out o jumped to recommend this starter, and I installed it for her yesterday, and today it just stopped working, the solenoid failed. We had to pay to get the car towed back, I just went to auto one and bought one and now we are returning this!
So, this is probably just a quality control issue, the starter worked good for probably 10 starts before failing, the worse part is I had to pay for the towing and the new starter since it was my fault for recommending this starter!
Good brand, but this could happen to you as well I suppose!

This part is the same as you would get from the big name stores for half the price! Amazon has alot of work to do with matching parts, but this matched 2013 Chevy Captiva properly as advertised. The car still sucked but THIS issue was resolved and we traded it in. Good starter.

Easy to install and appears to be exactly as described and identical to the OEM starter I removed. Shop wanted $550 to replace my starter so I did it myself in about 30 minutes for the cost of this part.
